I believe that this is absolutely untrue. Now if we're talking about
physical addiction, that's a different story. However, if used on a daily basis for an extended period of time, marijuana absolutely can be psychologically addicting.
I think that because a substance doesn't cause physical withdrawals when use is discontinued, some people might think that said substance isn't potentially addictive. As a matter of fact, I know several good folks who unfortunately truly believe that they can't function throughout the day without smoking X amount of marijuana. It has made their lives unmanageable, and continue to smoke regardless. By definition, they are addicts.
Are they perfect? Of course not. Do they have character flaws? Honestly, who doesn't? But being an addict, which I truly believe Gregory is, should not be viewed as a moral shortcoming. I believe he does want to quit more than anything. He's obviously not a dumb person. He knew very well that as soon as he lit up before the combine, he wasn't doing himself any favors.
But when it comes to a disease like addiction, if left untreated, it will make a person do things that they wouldn't dream of doing otherwise. Up until now, I don't think Gregory had received proper therapy for his addiction. I hope that the Cowboys are doing what they can to help Gregory fight this demon and put this all behind him.
By the way, I'm not trying to argue or get political with anyone, just putting my 2 cents out there
