Peter King comments...

I think that the Bengals would trade CJ before the draft because what if we offer a 2nd and 3rd round picks for CJ, they could take that and get two players now for this year instead of waiting till next year.

When you start talking about what someone 'deserves' then it certainly becomes a question of morals and ethics. You opened that box; not me.

I never said he deserved it. I said its to be expected and it is.

Cheating on your wife and getting a BJ is one thing.

Being the President of the US and cheating on your wife is another.

When your in that position its to be expected that people are going to take their shots.

Or is it just a baseless accusation. Hey one star athlete who people think is a thug did it, why not pacman.

If I recall Moss tried to run over a police officer. Haven't seen pacman do that yet.

we can presume Moss hangs with nefarious individuals, even Keith Davis?

Randy Moss "nudged" a on-foot officer while he was trying to make an illegal turn........and then in the same incident got tagged with Hippie-Lettuce possesion.............but i'm sure it was to help his vision.....

His agent got nailed for crack cocaine possesion
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2370184

Moss had an incident with a "lover"----involving guns, beat the crap out of her, threatened her bla bla bla ........

This article is just King making a bunch of stuff up. All of it.

Did you even bother reading the freakin' article?!

C'mon... it wasn't ALL wrong. He spelled Randy Moss and PacMan Jones correctly, give him credit for THAT.

:D

Reading this column I thought to myself

"Hello, I'm Peter King. And I didn't think this out very well before I wrote it."

Here's a timeline of "Moss' antics" (http://football.about.com/od/nationalfootballleague/a/mossantics.htm):

1995 - After signing a letter of intent to play his college football at Notre Dame, Moss took part in a racially-motivated fight at his high school in Belle, West Virginia. Moss pled guilty to battery and received probation and a 30-day suspended jail sentence. Because of the incident, Notre Dame revoked his scholarship.

1996 - While serving a 30-day jail sentence related to the previous incident, Moss tested positive for marijuana, violating his probation. He was released from the Florida State football program and served 60 extra days in jail for the probation violation.

2000 - In January, Moss was fined $25,000 for squirting an official with a water bottle. In November he was fined another $25,000 for touching an official.

2001 - Moss was fined $15,000 by the Vikings and required to receive anger management counseling for verbally abusing corporate sponsors on the team bus following a loss in November.

2001 - When questioned about his propensity to take plays off at times, Moss caused a stir by telling a Minneapolis newspaper columnist that he simply plays when he wants to play.

2002 - Moss was arrested after an incident in downtown Minneapolis in which he bumped a traffic control officer with his car, knocking her to the ground. He was ordered to pay a $1,200 fine and perform 40 hours of community service. Marijuana was allegedly found in his vehicle as well, but charges were later dropped.

2003 - The NFL fined Moss $5,000 for his role in a fight with the Chicago Bears during a September game. In November, he was fined another $5,000 for spiking a ball at the foot of Detroit Lions cornerback Dre' Bly.

2004 - Moss was fined $10,000 by the NFL after an end-zone celebration in which he pretended to pull down his pants and "moon" Green Bay Packers fans.

2004 - Moss also made negative news in 2004 for leaving the field with two seconds left in a loss to the Washington Commanders. Team leaders Matt Birk and Daunte Culpepper confronted Moss in the locker room after the game.

2005 - During HBO's "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel", Moss caused a bit of an uproar when he admitted he "might" still partake in the use of marijuana once "every blue moon".

And for some reason, King decides to forget about Corey Dillon as well (http://www.maximonline.com/articles/index.aspx?a_id=4459):

COREY DILLON
Arrested for: DUI, theft (twice), intent to sell cocaine, obstructing a police officer (thrice), resisting arrest (twice), assault (five times), criminal trespass, malicious mischief (twice), reckless endangerment (twice)

Corey Dillon has committed so many crimes (with such variety!), we inducted him early. He had 11 arrests before age 17. Since going pro Corey’s been busted for DUI, driving with a suspended license, and assaulting his wife. Dillon was sentenced to rigorous “community service”—working with area youngsters on football skills and refereeing intramural basketball games. We still expect a lot of jail time from this promising youngster.

Not to forget about stellar humanitarian Kelly Washington as well.

I love how King is the type of writer that complains about fan blogs yet he does such an awful job week in and week out, particularly in this scenario. Note to Peter, writers like yourself possess fans like myself to write blogs. So as long as you keep bringing the parade of suck, the more blogs will be created.

Nothing compares to Leonard Little as far as i am concerned. He killed a woman while driving drunk and then was busted for DUI later.

You can say what you want about PacMan but to me anything he has done pales in comparison to Little.

Well, no kidding.

But this is just another example of King spinning for the Patriots and of course Dallas = bad.

OMG you guys are already starting to defend the idiot that is PAcman Jones
I have never, nor will I ever defend him, I just could care less personally.

I'm not a judge, i'm not God, and I'm not inviting him over to my pool party (when I get one), I just want him defending WRs, and if Jerry can make it so it doesn't cost the team "too much financially" and we can cut ties with him if he f's up, then bring his a** in.

I still think he's a punk though.

Never the most accurate guy on these predictions but some Cowboy blurbs are all at the top of his 10 Things I think.

I love that rhetorical question, uhh, no you don't :D

But gotta hand it to King in somehow making Moss look angelic when compared to Pacman...I suppose the latter has had more run ins but to somehow make Moss look innocent is splitting hairs, IMHO.

The pets on Pacman's property jab?...Uhh, where was he going with that?...Is he implying he's a dogfighter like Vick or that simply the dude is doing some likely shady things even now?...Seems like libel there...King comes off a bit reckless there, IMHO

As for the Chad Johnson scenario, not sure what to make of it but I want no part of him anyway.

Although, on a related note, I loved the blurb on the DMN Blog where Carson Palmer was asked about his receivers camp threats...TJ he wasn't concerned about but replied with a terse 'No Comment' when asked about Ocho Cinco :laugh2:

Please Peter King every player I seen reports eventually and ones with contracts as large as him always buckle when the game checks and fines start adding up

Update from King's Tuesday column. A reader criticized King for speculating about dogfighting on Pacman's property:

"I'd especially want to find out about any possible pets on Pacman's property.'' That's what I wrote. Did I say anything about dogfighting? Not a word. But you did. Do you think I wrote this just to be provocative? I did not, and I stand by my advice to Jerry Jones.

What the heck is King talking about? It seems like he knows something about pets on Pacman's property but was not referring to dogfighting. The way he defended himself, I doubt he would have written this if he didn't know something. Does Pacman have a couple of lions roaming around? What in the world in King talking about?

I can see how we can trade for Pac Man, since he will only cost a late round pick.

I can see how we can trade up for DMac.

I can see how we can trade a pick for Chad Johnson.

I can see how we can do any combination of 2 of these things.

However, I do not, see how we could pull off getting all three.

I was wondering the same thing when I read that. What in the world could King be talking about besides dogfighting? Is Jerry highly allergic to certain animals?

Peter King said Romo would replace Bledsoe at half time in the first Giants game and it happened. Although he also said Romo would lead us to victory that game, but hey you can't be right all the time.

Stay current on your number of strip clubs Peter....there are 6,480. A new one opened not too long ago.:D
