If I ever meet Peter King in person, I hope one of you will post bail.

What a stupid man.

Send me a pm when this happens. It better be worth the bail.

There were 18 different players who had...
*5 Pro Bowls
*4 first-team All-Pro (AP)
*SB ring

15 of the 18 are in the HOF. The other 3 are all Cowboys.

Howley
Green
Harris

(and it was 4, until Wright got in)

Counting Hayes this is really a sad statement. How many Steelers that don't meet this criteria are in and were in as soon as they were eligible?

If Jerry Jones had laced Peter King's popcorn with horse laxative, I would've laughed my *** off.

That is a gut wrenching stat.

Don't forget about Paul Zimmerman who has openly hated the Cowboys for decades now.

But of course, there is no bias, right Peter King?

Didn't Zimmerman resign from the voting committee in disgust after they voted Hayes down last time? Or am I thinking about the wrong guy?

You're thinking of the right guy. He resigned from the senior committee but he still has a HOF vote.

Why does the media even have a vote in the subject. You should be judged by your peers. The only media personality that should have a vote is if they were retired players. What I mean by that is they spent at least 10 years in the league.

Dr. Z is the anti anti-Cowboys voter. He's stated that he feels Cliff Harris, Lee Roy Jordan, Chuck Howley and Hayes should all be in the HOF.

YAKUZA

I was listening to him on Sirius on the way to work. He claims now that he does not support Hayes because there was a guy on the Giants who was just as good as Hayes during that time. His first name was Homer but I forgot his last.

That is a stupid reason to vote no.

If he was just as good why does every true NFL fan know who Bullet Bob Hayes was and not Homer Jones?

btw, I believe Homer played for 6 years with 2 Pro Bowls Hayes played 10 years and had 3 Pro Bowls, 4 All-Pro and was a SuperBowl Champion.

And Homer Jones was one of many receivers of that era who would have one great year and keep Hayes off of an All-Pro team, then do little else the rest of their careers.

Seasons in Top 10 (catches, yards, TD's, ypc) 1965-71
(Career numbers for Pro Bowl receivers who played most of their careers in those years)

*Hall of Famer
Warfield 22*
Hayes 20
Biletnikoff 19*
Taylor 17*
Dale 15
Jefferson 11
Jones 11
Collins 11

King even mentioning Homer Jones in the same breath with Bob Hayes says it all--about King.

Hostile, I sent a reply to peter kings email through sporting illustrated, hope that helps,

Umm Peter maybe him being put back up for nomination so quick should tell you something. Maybe it should tell you that he is one of the biggest snubs not in the hall. Maybe it should tell you he deserves enshrinment

The seniors commitee just rolled up a newspaper and swatted you and the other electors on the nose with it, thats what this nomination should tell you

That's exactly it.

And the fact that Peter doesn't see this reveals quite a bit about his IQ.

Wow.

Peter King and the other voters should see that.

I'm sure they know. I'm sure many many Cowboys fans have let them know in a myriad of ways. ...that is just not important to THEM.
