Peter King thinks Eagles talking about moving up

No. 22, Philadelphia. Keep hearing they want in on the prime receiver action, and the receiver they want could be LSU’s Odell Beckham, who can play outside, inside in the slot and as a returner. But the Eagles would have to trade up, and GM Howie Roseman is doing his due diligence, talking to at least two teams in the mid-round neighborhood, when Beckham would likely go. But the cost could be too rich for the Eagles’ blood. They may have to settle for Marqise Lee, who would be some consolation prize.

Keep hearing 49ers love him too. Depends on what the offer would be of course. An extra 3rd allows you to stash Brandon Thomas.

I don't believe in trading down with your divisional rival but if they can get a second round pick I would be ok with that.

If the trade occurs I hope Timmy Jernigan is still there in the late part of the first round.

I'd rather not let the eagles add Beckham, that's their ideal piece for their offense. Should be other options if we look to move back

This wouldn't go down until right before our pick on Thursday night, and only if all of our main targeted players are gone (very possible) or if 4-5 of tem are still there (doubtful).

If the Eagles are giving up a 3rd or a 2nd to move up, I'd take and hope they draft Beckham. He's only a replacement for Jackson. I'd be more upset if they moved up and got themselves some real defensive help.

The idea that we might draft Beckham ourselves is probably rooted in the SF/PHI interest in him near our spot. It's interesting, anyway.

And King isn't saying the Cowboys and Eagles are talking. Any team picking between 13 and say 17 might be considered "mid round tneighborhood".

Maybe the Ian Rapoport and Spagnola articles were fuel for the trade discussions.

I believe we have come up on top the last 2 times we have traded with them, we would probably get a third and a sixth rd pick .

There is 0 chance we get their 2nd unless we give them more than 16.

Eagles only have 6 picks this year, they will probably be reluctant to give up 2 picks for 16.

Last years trade worked out good with an extra third.:D

want more than what we got last year...

Wanting does not count for much. Depth in this draft is in that there is not much of a dropoff from the 25th player to the 75th player so those second and third round picks become more valuable.

That might explain the recent blurbs that Dallas would be interested in a WR/TE in round one. Perhaps they got the Eagles to bite, I would be surprised.

I like Beckham a lot, but even if I needed a WR, I am not sure I would give up a lot of choices for him. He must have blown them away during the pre-draft process. His tape is good though.

A mod needs to change the topic on this post. King did not say the Cowboys were involved.

Not a fan of trading with divisional foes, hate to make them better for just 1 pick.

We all know that OBJ is coveted by the Eagles. Chip Kelly personally went down to LSU himself to scout him.

With that being said, they have pick 22 and we have pick 16. The price has to be a 3rd rounder and we flip flop first round picks.

Eagles get...........pick 16

Cowboys get.......pick 22 and Eagles 3rd round pick.

I am not really keen on handing OBJ to our division rival, but to drop 6 spots and get a 3rd in one of the deepest drafts in years is too good to pass up.
