That might explain the recent blurbs that Dallas would be interested in a WR/TE in round one. Perhaps they got the Eagles to bite, I would be surprised.

I like Beckham a lot, but even if I needed a WR, I am not sure I would give up a lot of choices for him. He must have blown them away during the pre-draft process. His tape is good though.

He has some similarities to DeSean Jackson. Similar speed but bigger and more all around athleticism.

This trade would not be made until draft day since the Eagles would not know if the player they want would be there.

After the Eagles offer us their #1 and #3, call the 49ers who are loaded with Top 100 picks.

eagles dont have a 6th already.
like us so that makes trading with them problematic.

neither team likely to part with the 5th rounder.

on paper the trade chart says dallas gets pick 22 of r1 plus r3 and r4.
but again no way philly goes that light int he draft, they arent washington.

dallas could probably get them to take r1, r7 for their r1 and r3 but thats a bad deal for dallas and well below chart value.

if you are dallas you'd much rather trade with SF and their hoard of picks.
30+61+94 is a nice haul and you could probably get them to bite on 16 and 229, 231 because they have a ridiculous total number of picks but nothing above 30.

1004 points from dallas
SF 620+292+124=1036

you could flip 4th round picks to bring about half that 30 points back to SF if required.

btw, if i am SF i take that dallas deal to go up and get a starting CB.
SF in unlikely to get bad anytime soon thus not drafting top 20.
i'd want to finish that defense off with an r1 CB.

CB looks a real value at 16 with Dennard and Gilbert in that area.

will SF do the same deal as last year and throw in an extra 4th?

It'd be nice if he was on the board when we pick, but he seems like a hot name and if teams want to move up for him they probably need to move up higher than us. I wouldn't be surprised if he went 10 to DET.

I'd hope so.
They have a ton of picks and while they aren't gonna just give them away, they have to see an appeal of adding a top end offensive talent.
Seattle isn't gonna be easy to score on anytime soon so they need playmakers.
