It’s also one of those positions you can never have enough of. Because a year fromDT is one of the few positions we don't need.
Now who knows where Kenny and Osa will be.

It allows you to keep rotating in fresh and rested DTs as the game goes on. That's why the 90s Cowboys Defensive line was so good. Offensive lines couldn't wear them down in the 4th quarter.DT is one of the few positions we don't need.
We have 3 solid DTs right now. We have no LBs. We have one good CB (maybe). Safety? none DE? We have one. So, DT is at the end of the list. Well Clark would be gone and we could use the cap sapce elsewhere. My issue is worried about next season. If we are all in we need to fully commit to that.
It seems that most years when CZ (pre-draft) has the general opinion that a specific position will be good, it ends up being terrible.DT is one of the few positions we don't need.
Well, most of us aren't any better than the draft guides we read. Let's face it. Most us follow a few college teams and maybe catch 30-40 games a year not including the playoffs. We aren't reviewing game tape. We rely heavily on people who do this 24/7/365.It seems that most years when CZ (pre-draft) has the general opinion that a specific position will be good, it ends up being terrible.
I think so.Could Woods be a surprise top 10 pick?
I hate to go there but Stephen is not going to draft Woods. Mr. Pie already is investing $60 million the defensive tackle position. Now I would move on from Clark, get that cap space, and move Woods right in with Qunnen.Yeah, Woods is an intriguing player.
I think we could make it work and have Osa play DE in a 34 alignment on certain downs. Plus, he can replace Osa next year too.
Seriously, I challenge anyone to come up with the game that Osa has dominated.
I would like to see us trade OSA but I think the dead money on his contract might make it prohibitive.I wonder how much trade value Osa would have. If he's really as sneaky good as everyone says, GMs should see it. And his contract is pretty reasonable.
Trading Clark would seem to be a possible option, as I do not believe there would be any dead money to the Cowboys for that move. The problem is that Clark is probably a significantly better player than OSA.Take Woods let Clark walk or maybe we could get a 3rd or 4th rounder by trading Clark? But then again we never seem to get good value when trading our guys. I can't depend on Jerry and Stephen in that department.
The dead cap money on OSA is a mountain. He will be here. I doubt they bring back Clarke. I liked him, but it will be a numbers game.Trading Clark would seem to be a possible option, as I do not believe there would be any dead money to the Cowboys for that move. Yeah I know Clark is better than OSA but since we just signed OSA last season the dead cap would be wild. So Clark would be the odd man out.Trading Clark would seem to be a possible option, as I do not believe there would be any dead money to the Cowboys for that move. Osa and Clark are pretty much the same caliber player. Just different. Both will be here next year. Drafting Woods is a long game with Williams. Replaces both Clark and Odighizuwa in 2027, with us probably adding a 5T type DT somewhereYeah I know Clark is better than OSA but since we just signed OSA last season the dead cap would be wild.
