He had few bad plays but overall, not awful, that what they said early about Steele. i said in spot duty hes not chaz green , he held his own most snaps but hey got beat hose 2 bad plays,,
Last nights game and the Houston game were the only 2 I wasn't able to watch on tv this year. Steele got hurt in the Houston game, and Ball was tried there then, I was told. Heard nothing good about his play. Peters was playing there by the time they went to that game on CBS or FOX. We here only got to see the end of that game- the goal line stand and winning drive.

I can see him coming back next year. Terrific signing for the younger guys. Peters may end up being with the Cowboys organization for a long time in some capacity. It seems like he likes it there and they are treating him with the respect he deserves.

I think McGovern will be back at LG and Peters back to backup vs Washington. We will probably have one of our backup centers active this week. Almost no one has a backup center active on game day unless he’s the top OG backup. McGovern was the game day backup, but I think we will have a full time center active next week.

I'm trying to think of a move Jerry hasn't hit on this year.

Zoneposters - 0 / 15

Jerry - 15/15

not sure how this was posted with a straight face.
Took him 12 games or so to figure out they desperately botched the DT and WR positions in the off-season. Barr has been okay but Wagner would’ve been really nice.
applaud that he finally signed Hankins and TY, both looking like great signings, but plenty of folks clamoring for something to be done at those positions long ago.

Hey look it's one of those 0/15 zoners. Who can't stand this team.

Don't make me go back and look at your post history on Tyler Smith, Maher...Cooper Rush as back up. CeeDee being our number 1, Peters signing. Please just because it's the holidays...I can already tell you're a "hate Jerry" guy.....me going back and reading what you typed on all Jerry's hits this year is going to make you look ridiculous. Don't die on this hill bubs.

they should have put big old peters in as LG, no reason to move Smith.

Good point. I guess the thinking is Peters has been a tackle his whole career and Smith was at LG most of camp so they went with that. I just wish Steele didn't get hurt since we would have Tyron at LT now and could then choose between Peters and the younger Smith at LG.

Smith has been playing well. Peters has been playing a few snaps here and there, I am concerned if he could go a whole game at LT at his age. It would have been a simpler mover to just put Peters in at LG instead of moving another guy around.

Like I said in another thread I wonder if Matt Farniok's hamstring is healed? Put him in at center and leave the left side of Tyler Smith and McGovern alone with Peters the backup. Wishful thinking probably.

JP is an excellent lineman, but expecting him to be good all game might be wishful thinking. He's a shell of what he used to be. His problem now is speed rushers, and health

Let me repeat my previous post about a straight face. Utterly ridiculous statement. Jerry got lucky on some big, risky, some downright stupid gambles….story of his life…but whiffed so badly on others he had to scramble and find people, anyone, 3/4 of the way through the season. So saying he was right about everything and folks here were wrong about everything is not a serious statement. Do you really think Jerry thought Maher would have the kind of year he has? Only taken him 20 years to figure out he still needed a run stuffing DT. Wonder what happens if he had figured that out six years ago….maybe Cam and the Rams don’t rush for 245, maybe the. Niners score one less TD. Jerry’s lucky Ceedee elevated the way he did. Some may have predicted it fine, but we were still left with such a wretched War corps after Gallup that we had to pry someone off their couch midseason….all really bc Jerry got mad at Amari and this created an unnecessary personnel gaping hole.
yes the Gregory thing worked out great for us…but just like Paxton Lynch…Jerry was more lucky than good. He tried to sign him to a big deal and lost at the last second.
Let’s not talk about the fact it took him 10 years and 3 wasted HOF careers to figure out what we all knew a few years in, the Jason Garrett sucked.
Yes I am glad he finally pulled his head out and got Hankins and Hilton. Gladly give him credit for that albeit six months late. But not going to pretend like Jerry is this super savvy GM who made every right move. That’d be ridiculous.
Please read away.

I was glad we signed Peters. I am still glad we signed him. But he’s not in his prime. I’m not so sure how he is going to do with a full game workload. I’m thinking in the 4th quarter he is going to be gassed playing the whole game

big issue is that he can only play a limited role at this stage...off field he is amazing, on field he is limited to snaps here and there

It's unclear how many snaps Peters can handle, but he has looked pretty good in the snaps he gets and PFF scores him at 63.5. About an average starter. Which is a fantastic deal for us.

True. Sure hope McGovern can handle center. I didn't see the game last night- did he look ok at it?

The same guy. Some good plays, but can be overpowered. The run game between the tackles will suffer. Dak is going to get hit more.

And how do you know that? What makes you think he can't play full time..not being a ***,btw
Have you seen the brother move? He looks so slow if he gets his hands on you it’s usually over but speed rushers are problematic
A nick bosa eats him for lunch. Well I guess nick eats everyone for lunch scratch that
We literally have no choice with our injuries
