This may be a reason for asking Peters to cover LG. They want someone with a lot of experience and recognition skills to identify and manage stunts and games. If you put the vet in between the two younger players maybe he stabilizes both of them?

Just a thought. I would prefer him to play LT and move Smith to LG. But that's just me.

If we play Peters at LG, there's a chance he strengthens both center and left tackle because there's very few things defenses can throw at him that he has not seen and he plays with a lot of power.

Much rather a all-pro vet play out of position than throwing a rookie at a new position... Smith, Peter's, biadasz, Martin, smith(tyron) if we make the playoffs... at least looks good on paper...

Interesting. Peters has never really played guard. Broaddus says he can’t play guard so playing him at guard is probably a good thing. I don’t think this is Philbin’s call because he wanted Tyler on the bench.

Smith has played exceptionally well. Giants have a ferocious front. Would much rather Peters play guard

Not a fan, would rather see smith at G, but I wouldn’t have put him at T the first two weeks and was wrong about that so I’ll wait to judge this move.

Would be surprised if we move our future LT out of position for a 40 year old Peters.
Peters knows his role and will immediately upgrade the LG position.
The entire left side will be improved regardless.
