We got Julius and Barber unless you want to trade them for a high draft pick (joking):laugh2:

I like both but they are both far from elite RB that this stage. Call it being spoiled but our history is filled with some top RB's and it would be great to once again lineup elite RB in the backfield. I don't know if Peterson will be one but there is no doubt he was a workhorse at OU and when healthy was a very difficult RB to deal with.

What I'm saying is I miss having RB like Dorsett and Smith. Guys who can carry the load and were elite RB's. I don't expect Dallas to grab a RB unless by some slim chance a top RB fell into our lap but I don't think that will be the case. As I said I like our backs but they are not at the same level as Tomlinson or Johnson with KC

every team in the league cant have a Tomlinson or Johnson

and remind me again, which super bowl teams this yr had those kind of backs?

Granted guy like that do not come around often but should Dallas be lucky enough to have a chance at a RB of these guys level then you bet I would grab one and not worry about some 2nd rd pick. I watched Dallas do that with Tony D when we pulled the trade off with Seattle to get him.

Peterson is nowhere near the calibar of RB Tony Dorsett was coming out of Pitt

I agree not every team has one and while neither Tomlinson or Johnson made it to the SB many great backs have including Tony and Emmitt. Finding a special RB is not easy but if you’re lucky enough to get one then I firmly believe you do just that. I'm not of the mindset that RB are a dime a dozen the great ones make a big difference for their team

Peterson injuries no doubt hurt him but if he can get past that he has great ability at RB I have watched him enough to know this kid is a very good RB and a guy who can carry the load and carry a team.

His hands are fine...ask UAB & Oregon, he wasn't utilized as a reciever in the offense. First time anyone has said he was soft and couldn't block....not sure who you are watching.....

Yeah, we have so much better on the Cowboys that we could pass on Peterson....Bonghorn fans drop the pipe and get real......

He won't drop past 8 in this draft, but if he does...teams will gladly hand over pciks to move up and get him.

Once again...nothing good comes in burnt orange!!!!

wow Bonghorn fans? that really hurts my wittle feelings....puhlease

AD is overrated. But you can defend him all you want and it will not change my mind. I watched probably 20-25 of his games, since they force feed us the Crimson and Cream down here in San Antonio......Thankfully I am close enough to Austin to see all but one Longhorns game every year....

BTW...are you still in a foul mood for overpaying for a car from Rhett Bomar - car salesman?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Peterson fall in the draft like Leeland McElroy did in 1996, all the way to the top of the second round.

He'd be a steal there but i wouldn't be surprised at all to see it happen.

That is absolutely crazy.

I will take that bet and give you odds as well.

I agree. From what I have read there are a few teams out there hoping he will still be on the board when they make their 1st pick. Peterson will not make it to the 2nd rd.
