Yea, and next time you question an Offensive Lineman, I'll ask you get out there and block on the goal line, k?

Nick Folk has the shortest kickoffs in the league, at 61.4 yards per kick. The best is Sebastian Janikowski at 69.6 yards per kick. The next worst after Folk is John Carney, at almost a yard better... 62.2 yards per kick.
And BTW, John Carney was deactivated yesterday because Caughlin didn't trust his kickoffs to be strong enough in the swirling meadowland wind.
Also for anyone who pulls the "he's kicking it short to help the coverage" bit...

Folk is the lowest in opponent starting position after a kickoff, averaging the 32.9 yard line. The best is Kris Brown of Houston at 24.1 yard line, and the next worse is more than 2 yards better-- Dan Carpenter of Miami at 30.7 yard line.
Also notice how the guys who kick it the furtherest also have the best oppenent starting position. This idea that kicking it "higher" will result in better coverage is crap. As anyone who has actually kicked a football well before (like me)... the additional hang time you get by putting the ball around the 10-15 yard line (where Folk's kicks usually land) is MAYBE 0.4 seconds. Not NEARLY worth the distance you give up.
In conclusion, lets get a punter than can Kickoff, please.
