Rogers was a guy who had some talent, allegedly, but had a proverbial 'glass jaw'. Rob has some talent, too...and is tougher than a 2 dollar steak. I'd rather have a tough guy that takes a little longer to become polished than the opposite. I bet in 3 or 4 years Rob will be one of the elite tackles in the league.

He's definitely got some sand.

He got pretty banged up yesterday and Rob hung in there. I think some people forget he' only a rookie.

Let's not go overboard. I highly doubt he'll reach ELITE status. If anything, I'll be very happy with a 14 year starter at RT.

Hey Eddie, I'm just curious...have you EVER posted a positive message on this board? I'm trying to remember just one and I can't do it.

Was my message NOT positive? A 6th round draft pick turning into a 14 year starter is NOT positive?

Let's ask this ... have you EVER posted a non-fantasy message on this board?

You guys crack me up ... you have Al Johnson in the Pro Bowl, Cowboys in the Super Bowl, Pettiti as an ELITE Tackle. Come on. Temper the fantasy alittle bit.

Be happy if Pettiti starts for us for the next 14 years ... is that NOT enough to ask of him?

I think the difference you'll see between years 1 and 2 will knock your socks off.

There's no doubt.
He'll be in the off-season program all year and have a year of experience under his belt to rely on.

The fact he seems to have some toughness will allow him to be very good because he can be depended upon.

no doubt he is tough as nails, I am guessing thats one of the things Parcells really likes about him...

he has a good future for us...just wish Adams wouldnt have gotten hurt this yr because Pettiti needs the help this season...our passing game is really getting hurt because we cant run everyone out in routes, leaving it easy to double or even triple team the guys who are going out there...also not having Witten out in the patterns hurts alot because he is so difficult to guard...teams are getting a break not having to defend him as much

David

I agree, a great offseason working out, developing some quicker feet and he should be VERY good...
I think he "gets it"

Ditto

When he got his bell rung and didn't wince he demonstrated an tremendous amount of toughness or he was enjoying the euphoric feeling of a concussion.

Seriously he is ahead of the curve and I think he will only get better.

I'll keep him.......Just wait until he sheds his growing pains
