I can think of quite a few guys who have done it more successfully. Names like Montana, Bradshaw, Aikman and yes, even Brady come to mind.jbowman0;3081304 said:as a QB I dont think anyone has ever done as much/shouldered the game upon himself and done it with such success as manning
IMHO Manning always had better receivers (at least until 2007) and played indoors, but Brady always had better defenses. But it shouldn't be forgotten that the Patriots were 5-13 under Belichick prior to Mo Lewis knocking Drew Bledsoe into the middle of next week so it wasn't like Brady inherited a ready-made Super Bowl winner.jbowman0;3081411 said:i feel brady has always had a way better team around him but thats juts my opinion

The best play in Patriot's history.Rogah;3081423 said:But it shouldn't be forgotten that the Patriots were 5-13 under Belichick prior to Mo Lewis knocking Drew Bledsoe into the middle of next week so it wasn't like Brady inherited a ready-made Super Bowl winner.

And the Pats went 11-5 without him, and??Rogah;3081423 said:IMHO Manning always had better receivers (at least until 2007) and played indoors, but Brady always had better defenses. Neither will Manning - at least not as many as Brady. I'd rather have the rings, wouldn't you?rkell87;3088430 said:yes you could, manning on a bad team would have more success than brady. cassel=brady at same point in their careers skill wise, but cassel will never have the rings

Believe it or not, I actually like the guy. But I just have no faith in him in the playoffs (and yes, I know he's got one ring).

Peyton Manning is an average qb in the playoffs. the one year he won a ring his defense bailed him out for throwing multiple picks vs chiefs,Ravens and a pick 6 vs a depleted New England team. Tom Brady is a better qb then Peyton Manning especially in the postseason.
