In the regular season, there is no QB in history I would rather have than Peyton Manning. In the playoffs, I can think of about 25 QBs I would rather have than Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady is one of 'em.

as a QB I dont think anyone has ever done as much/shouldered the game upon himself and done it with such success as manning

I can think of quite a few guys who have done it more successfully. Names like Montana, Bradshaw, Aikman and yes, even Brady come to mind.

Believe it or not, I actually like the guy. But I just have no faith in him in the playoffs (and yes, I know he's got one ring).

i think if u put manning in the pats in 2001 with that crazy defense they had the pats might have won 5 in a row. there is no question manning is the better quarterback, brady played on a much better team, hence more titles

IMHO Manning always had better receivers (at least until 2007) and played indoors, but Brady always had better defenses. But it shouldn't be forgotten that the Patriots were 5-13 under Belichick prior to Mo Lewis knocking Drew Bledsoe into the middle of next week so it wasn't like Brady inherited a ready-made Super Bowl winner.

Tom Brady is and was infinitely better than Bledsoe.

The best play in Patriot's history.

And the Pats went 11-5 without him, and??

I personally don't think you could possibly go wrong with either guy.

yes you could, manning on a bad team would have more success than brady. cassel=brady at same point in their careers skill wise, but cassel will never have the rings

Neither will Manning - at least not as many as Brady. I'd rather have the rings, wouldn't you?

Dude, Manning is not just a QB. The guy is practically an offensive coordinator. Each of those guys is great in their own way but Peyton Manning is a QB all in his own category. Not saying he is above any single QB but what he does is rare. Extremely rare.

25 other guys you'd rather have in the postseason? Little overboard ain't it? IMO, Tom Brady might be the only one that has a legitimate argument in that case and I would probably take Tom.

I disagree. The Patriots were not setting the world on fire, or world beaters, when Brady took over for them. They were not good at all really.

I don't think Brady, to be perfectly honest, gets nearly enough credit for what he was able to do with that team on offense. He gave them a real shot on offense to make plays and allowed the guys around him to start to come around and make plays.

I love the fact that people say "Brady played on a better team" and crap like that. Peyton Manning is an average qb in the playoffs. the one year he won a ring his defense bailed him out for throwing multiple picks vs chiefs,Ravens and a pick 6 vs a depleted New England team. Tom Brady is a better qb then Peyton Manning especially in the postseason.

Brady may be the better QB, he may be the best QB in the league, although at least this season he hasn't played like it...but as far as the guy himself? He pisses me off, hes taken the "Golden Boy" bit too much to heart.

Acts like a whiny little ***** every time something doesn't go his way.

Thats where its at!

Manning is not a QB, he is a field general who passes. I've never seen a QB manage an offense like he can.

Meh, Peyton has pretty much carried that D his entire career. Them getting hot at the right time doesn't level things out. Brady has had the better defenses with him.

If were talking about the guy who is the best player at the QB position, it's Manning. What he does as a player is unbelievable.

If were talking about the guy who is 100% battle tested and is as proven as they come, Brady is it.

Pick your posion really. Were talkin two of the best EVER.

All things equal and given the choice, I don't know who I would pick.
