Lost in the hoopla of La’el Collins‘ offseason situation and his eventual departure from the Cowboys was the fact that Terence Steele made him expendable in the first place. While Collins still comfortably outgraded him in 2021, Steele earned an admirable 64.6 overall mark in only his second season after entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent. And that was despite splitting time between left and right tackle. If he takes a similar leap forward, the Cowboys could join Tier 1.

This unit make the Cowboys offense run so I'm hopeful they will be ready. At the end of last year they got pushed around far too much.

I expect Steele to be better and Smith to be an upgrade over Williams. Biadasz needs to step up his game. The potential is there and that gives me optimism.

Every top websites matrix had the cowboys finished in the top 10 overall. Pass defense was incredible while the rush block was mediocre to meh towards the end.

Like I said this forum acts like we have a trash tier OL. Just shows how bad others have it. Simple to see we have glaring issues while watching every game while ignoring every other OL in football.

However it's all about injuries like any other thing and penalties.

Eagles may have one hell of an offense however Hurts is not the answer imo. Don't understand the love for him. He's medicore at best and they would be WAY better off with Minshew

whats rather interesting is when stats represent themselves in a way that it suits your narrative then your eye test is irrelevent. But when they dont suit your narrative then stats are for losers and eye test is important. It was easy to see the issues with the offensive line last year most notably the interior. the penalties were also killers.

I hope that the line plays up to its billing but ill curve too much optomism till the pads start flying.

If it continues, he'll win the starting spot at RT.

If not, someone may take his place.

When this line is healthy (very big qualifier) you have two first ballot hall of famers, solid starting quality right tackle and center, and a rookie left guard with the physical tools to project as a pro bowler. That is a top 5ish unit when you look around what the rest of the league is dealing with at OL. NFL offensive lines are generally bad aside from a handful of elite units each season.

you may have a point too, OL cant always block for 10 secs , QB need to make quick reads and get rid of the ball also, but the run game was an issue last year.
