These are based on their scores. Aubrey doesn’t grade out as well for whatever reason.
I guess their scores heavily weigh kicking outside opposed to in a dome. Those scores entirely ignore the responsibilities of kicking off, which Aubrey excelled at doing compared the two kickers they chose.

Aubrey does the following:
  • Most consecutive field goals made to start a career: 36 (Previous record was just 18, so Aubrey LITERALLY doubled that)
  • Most kickoffs for touchbacks in a single season: 99
  • First player to make their first 10 field goal attempts in their first three games (Super Bowl era)
  • First player to make their first 20 field goal attempts
  • First player to make their first 30 field goal attempts
  • First player to make two 59+ yard field goals in a single game (December 10, 2023, vs. Philadelphia Eagles)
  • Longest field goal in the first quarter of a game: 60 yards (December 10, 2023, vs. Philadelphia Eagles)
  • Was 14 of 14 from 40+ yards
  • Was 10 of 10 from 50+ yards
  • Was 1 of 1 from 60+ yards (that may have been good from 70)
  • Had more FG attempts and made at a higher percentage than BOTH McLaughlin and Elliott, who both had misses at 50+ yards (each going 7/8)
  • Was the NFL scoring leader by 10 points (157 vs 147 by Justin Tucker)
    • Elliot had 135 and McLaughlin 120
But ya, tell me he isn't even 2nd team All-Pro there PFF.
Both kickers had fewer misses than Aubrey with his 2 misses last week and 3 missed XPs. All those "firsts" are nice footnotes, but they don't really factor into who was the better kicker.

One thing I have noticed over the years, PFF tends to be bullish on players from certain teams.

Philly, for example, seemingly always gets some interesting player grades.

Yeah and I think those missed extra points seem to be costly.

Who owns PFF?

ANSWER: Cowboys hating Cris Collinsworth

PFF takes after its owner. They both suck.

So you rather have someone else other than Aubrey? If so .... interesting.

How does PFF rate a kicker other than whether or not his kick was good and the team scored?

Do they grade on form, like an Olympic diver or gymnast? Are his kicks not esthetically pleasing?

I put no stock in this if Aubrey isn’t on it. PFF lost credibility with me.

Besides the obvious Brandon Aubrey snub, Chris Collingsworth is all over Josh Allen's macadamia nuts! Josh Allen didn't even make the Pro Bowl this year!! It's getting embarrassing now! He must be stopped!!

Where was that even part of the discussion?

Kickers are so good now, misses are a rarity. The differences in the top guys are splitting hairs. But the fact is, along with XPs, Aubrey missed more than the other 2 guys. Shouldn't be too hard to understand.
