I thought I was the only one impressed with Lavar Edwards the other day.

Edwards looked really good IMO. However, I havent' watched the whole game and don't know what Brown did to earn that high grade. Any help would be appreciated. TIA guys.

I would like to see Collins switch to RT for the next game and see what he has at that spot.

If Collins can take over RT from day 1 that would give us the youngest and best line for years to come. Playing beside All-Pro Martin would help him as well.

Chaz Green could possibly be our future at RT and if Leary ever has injury we could slide Collins at LG and Green at RT.

Smith, Leary, Fred, Martin, Collins

Smith, Collins, Fred, Martin, Green

Smith, Leary, Fred, Martin, Free

You pick which one you like best

All look solid to me. I will say that the idea of trading Leary (as some on here have suggested) makes no sense at all. Specifically because of Free's injury situation right now.

I though he was better than Gardner and comparable to Russell in the San Diego game.

Right now, I'd rank them Hardy, Gregory, Mincey, Lawrence, Russell, Edwards, Gardner and Obada. (I did not count Jack Crawford because he seems to have found a home at the 3-tech.)

I completely agree with you...

Not to mention If memory servers me right wasn't Russell also taking snaps at the 3tech?

Russell played both the 3tech DT position and the Strong Side DE position. He is more a straight ahead rusher than a loop around the outside rusher, but that is how Marinelli tends to like his DEs to rush on the Strong Side. It keeps them in better position to defend the run; whereas, looping around the outside takes them out of run contain. Russell showed excellent strength, IMO. I was impressed with him.

Edwards showed some good moves and quickness and could be an option to play the Weak Side or Strong Side DE positions. Edwards had impressive measurable(s).

They were both better than Gardner, but Gardner has not played a game in a long time (since the middle of the 2013 college season).

I agree, Leary is a hog in the run game. Very underrated player. ....guess that happens playing between Smith and Fred

I had pretty much just discounted Edwards as possibly making this team, but if Gardner doesn't find his game in time, Edwards might end up in that last end spot with Gardner getting a year on the practice squad.

Leary can be the best damned anything. Everything will be determined by that knee and i think thats what scares most fans.

Corey White frustrated me in this game because he was in the right spot to make a catalytic type play quite a few times and didn't come up with the ball.

I like that he was around the ball but making that play or not is often the difference between winning and losing.

There was one in particular where he had an INT in his hands, and ended up dropping it.

Yeah he should have had that, but White is good pickup. I think Corey has a chance to be a starting CB for the Cowboys, if not this year then next year.

Wonder what Weems and dill grades were
For dill not sure they have a grade that low

Dill more than likely won't be around with this team much longer. There's still hope for Weems but it's fading a bit. Evidently, he's still inexperienced and needs more reps but he'd better kick it up a notch before he loses favor with the staff. The fact that he was playing LT rather than RT didn't do him any favors, though. He seems somewhat ill suited for that spot. Let's see if he's able to adjust to the quick DEs that play on that side. So far, it's not promising.

I don't think he'll start but you can never have too many good cornerbacks.

I think our starters this year will be Jones and Carr early. I think Scandrick will be limited and Claiborne is just a victim of circumstance now.

Agreed, Sir. I still like Claiborne and want him to start showing up and earning keep.

We need to ride that horse until the knees give out, bc he is our best LG right now.
