People blaming Diggs for yesterdays L are beyond dumb. Yes, I get it. He’s soft as crap and it can absolutely infuriating watching him tackle. Not to mention the dropped Int. However, Diggs was damn near perfect in coverage and for as lousy as our qb played. Even if he comes down w that int, we still lose that game, no doubt about it.
Blaming him - no. Could he have done better on the Kittle pass - absolutely and it was his piss poor effort on the play. Players drop picks - just not used to seeing Diggs do it.

I would trade him if I could because of his poor tackling and effort if I could get a high first rounder. That kind of effort can be a cancer to the D!

I pretty much agree with the offense grades. On defense I thought LVE had his best game in a long time, especially in the first half.

I agree with the bottom 5 defensive grades. Bland was exposed and I think he needs to stay in the slot. I don't think Rhodes played at all did he? They need a CB2.

I didn't want to say anything but I thought Wilson had an awful game too. He made a few plays here and there but he is a liability in coverage. I like him and I want him back but he needs to improve his coverage skills.

I am surprised Gallimore was rated as high as he was. He is awful. He gets pushed around like he is 230 lbs instead of over 300. On the CMC TD run Gallimore got pushed so far out of the hole so easily it was almost comical. I blame the Cowboys for having him in there instead of Hankins.

Barr is not getting it done and has shown me nothing all year. He has played better lately, but he missed a lot of tackles. He doesn't have the strength and quickness he once had. Next year Damone Clark and Jabril Cox will get more playing time and it will help them both develop into quality players.

Hankins deserves better than the grade he got. He did a good job stuffing the runs in the middle. He got held a couple of times and that holding call against him was BS. It was ticky tack for one thing but the play was blown up by other Cowboys defenders and the hold did not matter. To call him for that and not called the holding against the 49ers when Gallimore was pulled to the ground by his shirt was ridiculous.
Wilsons hold on Kittle was terrible and I love Wilson!

Always interesting to see rose to the occasion and who fell. Nobody fell further than Dak who went from the teams highest graded player against tampa to its lowest graded player vs SF.

Top5 Offense

1. Connor McGovern!! 77.4 - first time ever
2. CD Lamb 75.6
3. Tyler Smith 74.2
4. Zach Martin 62.7
5. Jake Ferguson 62.0

Bottom 5 offense

1. Dak 39.9 - a truly aweful grade
2. Gallup - 44.4
3. Zeke - 51.2
4. Schultz 54.1
5 Tyron Smith 58.6

Defense

Top 5

1. Micah 83.1
2. Osa - 78.8
3. Diggs 75.6 - still think he made a business decision on that huge bobbling catch play by kittle
4. Hooker 74.6
5. LVE 68.8

Bottom 5 defense

1. Bland 45.6 - might be his worst game
2. Gallimore 50.2
3. D Wilson 52.4
4. Hankins 53.0
5. Anthoney Barr 59.7
But I thought Dak was the only guy that played bad?

i would say i wish cowboys would get better dt

but i know they wont lol

Just like they have done at QB and FS. DT is never a priority. They plug whatever leftover they can get and try to make it work. They rather miss on a WR, CB, or RB but never on those 3 positions.

Gallimore’s could be low because he gave up a 40 yard completion…, In all honesty I thought did a decent job keeping up with Kittle. Not sure why he was in that position though…
If Gallimore covered Kittle all night, even with the big catches, he did a great job. Not often you see a300 pound DT covering tightends.

Only thing that maters. In the biggest game of his career.

th
Yeah, not great to have the $40 million franchise QB clock in as your worst performer in the biggest game of the year.

Gallimore was second lowest graded defender. 50.2 is a bad grade. Wilson also had a bad game as reflected in the grade of 52.4. Basically any grade under 60 means you lost more battles than you won and made a negative contribution..

It was a dumb play that hugely impacted the game. Jimmy Johnson said something like 'i'd rather be hit over the head with a hammer than choose a dumb player." But Wilson had a good year. He just chose the worst moment to make a mistake.

He did. But he also had the most difficult task of anyone. Beat the Niners D without Tony Pollard.
I seen him come up small too many times in big spots against playoff caliber teams. I don't think he will ever change.

He had Pollard for an entire half of football and put up 6 points........which is exactly what we scored without Pollard.
True, but we were moving the ball. Had Pollard remained, we have a realistic shot to win.

Is that why we went 6-2 behind Dak against playoff caliber teams this year? Trounced the Bucs.

You whiners have just been waiting for a loss.

If Dak threw for 300 yards and 3 TD's you would all be saying he choked if we lost.

The Bucs might have been one of the worst playoff teams in the last 10 years. Their record was under.500. Even if Dak was on target with 2 more of his passes against the 49ers we probably would have won. He wasn't and we lost.
Same story different season.
