Just going to leave this here.
That’s just not true. Homerism.
Well let's take a look at the numbers shall we?not even close and I'm a huge Pollard fan

As noted:not even close and I'm a huge Pollard fan
If you do please post links. I'd be more than happy to call them out as well. You do realize those are just local sports radio mouth breathers right? It's pretty gross they even talked about wanting another team's player to get injured, but I bet I could go pull a dozen soundbytes of your local shock jocks saying the same BS about other teams.
Why don't you go hang out with other niners fans? It's pretty obvious you're just trying to pick a fight. I've always thought it's weird other teams' fans show up here.
I think that is football 101. You make the other team beat you using something other than their strength. I see us committing to stopping the run game as a primary strategy.Stopping CMac and co is going to be priority #1 on Sunday. You can’t let their run game beat you, you gotta put it on their rookie QB.
Just going to leave this here.
Tony Pollard is just as good as CMAC. The 49ers better hope they can stop him too.
E see
That’s just dumb! Moore had an excellent game plan vs TB.
You're saying it's the idiot coaches' fault for failing to utilize Pollard as much or as properly as we should. That's not on Pollard.Unfortunately Pollard is not as great a player as McCaff, .. for one thing, Pollard under Kellen Moore has never been developed nor exploited the
way McCaff is and has been.
- Christian is out right deadly in the pass game and Shanahan definitely knows how to scheme RBs in the pass game ..
That's just an area that is simply not Kellen's forte.
- Shanahan is a sheer master of moving personnel around in both the run game (ala Deebo) ..and pass game (ala McCaffrey)
- Pollard was used in a muiltude of roles at Memphis, but we've very rarely seen any creativity with Pollard in the pass game.
Two of those rarities that come to is our past Vikes game where Pollard just jet right past a LB on a wheel route for a downfield TD homerun .
- The other is the outta of the slot formation vs Detroit Lions some years ago, for a wide open homerun TD.
- If Kellen was anything adept at scheming Pollard even in quick middle screens, and misdirection flairs - Pollard would be that much more utterly
scary dangerous to opposing defenses.
Ah, yes..stats: the last refuge of a weak argument. Okay, let’s play. Do your stats include the 6 games McCaffrey played on a losing Carolina team at the time ? How’s this one: in 6 games in Carolina he had 1 run of over 20 yards…in San Fran in 11 games he had 8 runs over over 20 yards. Think the team affected his stats ? Put Pollard on that Carolina team for 6 games. And nice try putting words in my mouth. I never said they were not remotely comparable. You said that. And you said Pollard is just as good. He isn’t, though he’s a good back.Well let's take a look at the numbers shall we?
PFF Grade:
Pollard - 89.5
McCaffrey - 88.9
Yards:
Pollard - 1007 rush, 371 rec
McCaffrey - 1139 rush, 741 rec
Yards Per Carry:
Pollard - 5.2
McCaffrey - 4.7
Yards Per Reception:
Pollard - 9.5
McCaffrey - 8.7
Touchdowns;
Pollard - 12
McCaffrey - 13
Yeah, those two players totally aren't remotely comparable.
Lot's of good stuff.Well let's take a look at the numbers shall we?

Yeah, those two players totally aren't remotely comparable.
Actually, his yards per touch are barely up since switching teams. He has largely been the same player but slightly elevated.I think the discussion was about McCaffery once he got to San Francisco since that's where he is now and who we will be facing.
I suspect his yards per carry and especially yards per reception are up.
You also hurt your argument (and credibility) when you conveniently leave out the most obvious and go-to number of them all
Its not really what SF has done for CMC, but what he's done for SF. At Carolina he was the majority of their offense, which is why he was injured so much. Now he is one of many options, now you add his numbers (similar to his Carolina number) plus Deebo's numbers, Mitchell's, Mason's, Kittle's, etc.Actually, his yards per touch are barely up since switching teams. Yards Per Carry:
Carolina - 4.6
SF - 4.7
Yards Per Reception:
Caroline - 8.4
SF - 8.9
Additionally, I the yards figures I provided in the original post (rushing and receiving separately) were an honest representation of their total yards from scrimmage. I figured adding the two together wouldn't be too hard for people, but apparently I was wrong. I am a dishonest cheat pushing the pro-Pollard agenda.
Yeah I actually agree. He has made that offense a warship bristling with elite, multi talented, skill position players. I think Deebo, Kittle, and CMC could all play WR and RB at a pro bowl level (Deebo could probably even play TE if he had to). I think that really is the only reason a QB like Purdy is playing the way he is right now.Its not really what SF has done for CMC, but what he's done for SF. At Carolina he was the majority of their offense, which is why he was injured so much. we are talking throughout pollards career he hasnt had true consistent shot he could be Cmac..Not game here or there where Moore brings in a plan like that.ie that MN game we need more of that.E see

Just slap the tag on him, play out another season, and go from there. The tag number for running backs isn't totally ridiculous at $10.1 million for 2023.well i applaud you for the comp
yet mad because this is what Jerry and Stephen will be force fed this offseason when Pollards agent shows up to get that bag brah. big payday for anther Rb when we were hoping to get rid of one SMH ouch not sure what the tag would be but big either way...
