Costa is the backup center which is really the only position he can legitimately play although he can line up at OG.

What exactly makes lining up Kosier at center stupid? Mark Stepnoski was a OG at Pitt, the Cowboys made him a center and had to teach him to snap the ball.

Kosier knows how to make the line calls and with his mobility he should make a better center than he did a OG if he learns how to snap. The stupidity imo was why did it take them this long to start trying to teach him to snap the ball?

The PROBLEM was that they made him the so called back up center and he had NEVER SNAPPED before they made that announcement. I noticed it has kind of disapeared. It was always stupid. It takes time and concentrated effort to learn to be a center and it does not always work. This idea that you can learn how to snap in only one camp is a joke. ANd even then they pretty much never let him practice it at all.
