I think they got it mostly right. I'd listen to the opposing arguments on Wilson/McGovern as I would be open minded to go either way on those guys, especially depending on the price they command. I'm sure the decision on K will spark some conversation here as well. That's a position I'd like to see a fresh face for 2023, but also understand that upgrading the position isn't as easy as it sounds.

Agree with the entire list except signing Watkins and Peters and letting Fowler walk.

Watkins and Peters are old and require high salaries due to their tenured status. They can be replaced with rookies or cheap vets.

I’d try to re-sign Fowler at least. He may want to leave tho.

Also no way Donovan Wilson takes 2 years 11 million. Gonna require 40-60 million to keep him.

I kind of agree with a lot of these too. But it depends on what these players are looking for. How much is LVE going to cost? Yes, he was playing great at the end of the season, but what if he wants $13 million per year? I am not paying that much. I like what Hankins did for Dallas but Dalvin Tomlinson is an option at NT too and he is 2 years younger than Hankins who will be 31 this season.

Watkins salary last year was $1.2 million. He ain't getting much more than that in FA. Fowler is likely to cost way more than Watkins.

I agree with much of these. I might quibble with Hilton - I wouldn't mind him being back on a cheapish deal. Hankins should be brought back. Watkins, I am OK with, as long as we have some sort of plan to upgrade DT where Watkins is simply a role player. But if the plan is Watkins and Hankins as your starting DTs, with Odi spread in there, that's just dumb.

In a perfect world, I’d like to have Wilson and LVE back, but I don’t think they will be able to match what they will be offered elsewhere.

But at sone point, we have to see what young guys like Bell, Mukuamu, and Coyle can do at safety.

And we also have young players at linebacker like Cox who really haven’t had the opportunity to play yet.

Pretty sure those guys play different positions. Watkins role can be filled by a 3rd/4th round pick which would save about a million. I don’t think Watkins is good, he’s never held up against the run.

Fowler is great depth at the pressure positions. He looked good last season.

I’m ok with all of it outside of Maher.

Only reason we wouldn’t be able to sign those guys is that the front office has managed the cap poorly. Not like we have a bunch of high paid players on defense.

They can easily free up $50 million in cap.

All of the bad contracts are coming off the books. Jaylon, Elliott etc. You likely see Tyron reduced. This leaves the team with only TWO terrible contracts left. Dak and Tank. Daks won’t look as bad if you tack on another year or two.

They can easily do it every year but never do

This is the year to do it. Before we had a ton of terrible contracts remaining on the books. Outside of Dak and Tank, they should be clear

Pretty much agree but not neccessarily the KIcker and Jason Peters would need to be a cheap deal

That would be a recipe to not again make the SB, those other DT are just subs to spell your studs that start.

Pay Maher? Thats gotta be a joke. Agree on the rest.
Agree that I would like to move on, but is there a slam dunk option out there or are we just rolling the dice on a new kicker? If you can land a Gould I'm all for it. Is there depth to the draft at the K position this year?
