DALLAS COWBOYS
The breakout of Demarcus Lawrence has done a nice job of covering up the fact that Taco Charlton has been a complete non-factor since being selected in the first round in 2017. He’s racked up all of 38 pressures over his first two seasons.

16 seems low to me. I think they could be better than middle of the pack

It's Lawrence, an aging Quinn and then a bunch of JAGs. 16th sounds about right to me. Charlton coming on and Gregory playing at least 12 games would help a lot.

Lawrence and Quinn is a pretty good combo.

If the rest of the defensive line gives even average production that should be good for better than 16th imo

16 is low. IMO we should be somewhere between 10-15 depending on how you view our interior rushers. A good season by Collins and instant production from Hill and we are probably inside the top 10. But thats potential instead of production

No they are above average jags until they show otherwise.

But yes, 16 sounds about right, I have no issues with that.

Though a few teams higher then that I question just a little. There are about 6 teams that are really around that mid level mark and move them up or down 2 or 3 slots, would still be about right.

I think we're in a spot where 16 is fair before the season starts but we'll end the season in the top 10.

We've got a lot to be excited about, but much of the excitement is around new acquisitions that we havent seen play together before or at all. Higher than middle of the pack right now would be premature.

If you can't get a pass rush up the middle. I don't care how good the edge rushers are they just can't get there. All the quarterback needs to do is Step Up. I finally believe we fix that in this season's draft. But only time is going to tell. You cannot win in this league without middle pressure. That's why a great Center is so important

This is a good point.

It's a big reason the Eagles are number 1. They invest heavily in that area

Also the Rams are top 10 just off the strength of having Donald

They aren't 1 and likely won;t actually be top 10 this season.
They have 1 one good pass rusher and some JAGs.
They just turned over half their 8 man DL rotation because they didn't have any cap to keep them.

DAL and PHI are fairly equal in pass rush abilities at this time. You'd FAR rather have the DAL Ends and the Philly Tackles.
If Gregory gets re-instated DAL has a huge advantage in depth.

DLaw will rush form the 3T A LOT.

I didn't make the rankings...

I dunno, I see the OL ranking and PHL is first, I see the pass rush ranking and I see that PHL is first. Best to hope for rankings that are wrong.

Now, they are going to still play the games to settle this, right?

I think Quinn has something in the tank for atleast a year but i think our DTs will be a force this year.
Quinn is massively underrated because he was in a terrible scheme fit. But note his 6.5 sacks last year would be the 2nd highest returning total for Philly the team they said was 1st, lol.

As a 50% of the time DE he will be a plus pass rusher for sure.
DAL DL is insanely deep and these JAGS that make up the rotation can be used institutionally to provide success.
DAL was 6th in scoring defense last year and didn't step back in any area.

DAL isn't a top 5 DL but the overall defense is so good they will almost certainly produce like a top 5 unit.

DAL will cut 3 or 4 DL that make other NFL teams.

Malik Jackson is just some JAG? Brandon Graham is just some JAG?
