PFF projects Randy Gregory's next contract this offseason (and other soon to be free agents)

For a guy like Gregory , structure and routine is equally if not more important than money. For the sake of his mental well-being. I’d be shocked if somebody outbid Dallas to the point where it would overcome the other major benefits of him staying put. But never say never. It’s also assuming that Gregory is smart enough to understand this. Which I believe he is.

Why wouldn’t it be in Dlaw,s range. That’s my guess

Because D-Law didn't have the baggage that Randy does. He also has a shorter track record of success. So far just this season. He won't get offers anywhere close to D-Law range.

That seems very low to me. I can see the 2 years given Gregory's age and the fact that TV contracts will be kicking in fully in 2024, but I think Gregory gets more than $12.5 million. I think he will be closer to $16.5 million per year.

If Dallas can re-sign him for $12.5 million then run, don't walk, to the negotiating table. Having him, Parsons and Lawrence together next year again may make their season in 2022.

Of course this is all my opinion but I recall three years ago when the board was debating what Dak was worth. Opinions.began around 18 then the next year year 24-28 something like that. I know their different issues but there will be a team that will offer Dlaw type money.

...Gregory will probably finish his career in Dallas. He's not going anywhere, the guy loves it there.

Good insight!

I agree with this. But if you listen to his interviews, I dont think there is any doubt about his smarts. He is extremely well thought out and well spoken. Guy is smart.

I hope, for my sake as a fan of the Cowboys and RG is the only pro athlete I spent 5 hours with watching football, so I love the guy, I hope he stays. It would crush me as a fan to lose the guy that Jerry was so loyal to during his problems. I turn 52 in 4 days and I never am bothered when players come and go... but RG leaving would suck for me on a personal level.
