PLEASE realize I'm NOT comparing Tapper to Charles Haley....but he did RESEMBLE Haley's frame and quickness coming around the corner. We haven't had anything close to that since Charles left. We were hoping it would be Galloway, but well....it wasn't. If Tapper can stay healthy, I love his potential.

The point is that Dallas would have likely taken 1st and 20 over 2nd and 14 so the sack wouldn't have counted anyway.

YR

I'm not sure if that's a given, I think typically teams take the loss of down+the loss of yards over the first and 20.

Can someone explain to me why Brown's INT was not ruled simultaneous catch, which would go to the offense? Obviously, it worked out better for us but to me it looked like he never had full control until Shepard took the ball. I was sure the INT ruling would be reversed.

Brown had possession of it first, and he never lost possession of it.

Item 5. Simultaneous Catch. If a pass is caught simultaneously by two eligible opponents, and both players retain it, the ball
belongs to the passers. It is not a simultaneous catch if a player gains control first and an opponent subsequently gains joint
control.

Brown is seemingly that guy who stinks in practice and preseason but shows up in real games. He was not getting rave reviews in camp and preseason games and then last night, it was like a different guy out there.
Happy birthday!!! Maybe someone can get you an avatar for your birthday!! lol

Didn't Gilmore get burned deep? And he's still on their list.

It's based only on the number of catches he allowed relative to snaps in coverage. Allowing two catches for 160 yards would be the same as allowing two catches for 6 yards.

IMO, it wasn't because he did have control prior to Shepherd trying to take it. Once he had control, he became the offensive player and thus any tie would go to him.

Tapper's move on the sack was impressive and his closing speed was elite. He made it look easy. The other nice thing was that it came at a critical time making them settle for a field goal.

Should of had another one in the 4th for a safety but he just could not hold on to Eli's jersey. I was wrong about this guy, especially if he keeps it up, crow never tasted so good.

It'll be fun to see who get's to be in the pass rush package on passing downs, especially when Moore and Irving come back.
