I am very weary of workout warriors.
I am weary of dumping 1st round picks into an offensive line only to get diminishing returns.

Yeah, he said that this draft will be the opposite of last season’s defensive draft. But we all agree if certain guys fall, the Cowboys will have no choice to draft them.Just listening to Dane, all he hears around the scouting community is the Cowboys are going to have an offensive draft. Still believe OL is top priority
We have a much higher success rate take lineman then pass rushers.I am weary of dumping 1st round picks into an offensive line only to get diminishing returns.

2 hall of famers and 1 all pro that had to retire early, okThat depends on what you consider ‘success’. All those 1st rounders couldn’t run the ball and got pushed around and their lunch money stolen vs San Francisco.
But yeah, let’s dump another 1st rounder in there.

Let me remind you the last DE they drafted in rd 1, Taco Charlton.Who got thrown around in the playoffs, OK.

Hate it. Mafe was a late 2nd rd pick prior to the combine, now he is a 1st rounder? He is a terrible run defender and is more of a rush specialist. Don't like the other two picks as well.
Not that he's the same player, but so was Ware. It's not out of the realm of possibility that there is an ultra athletic, high upside, high character type that rises quickly--and for good reason. Is that Mafe? Beats me
Odds are against it, if you remember Ware dominated in the Senior Bowl practices, not a perceived workout warrior. Not that he's the same player, but so was Ware. Like this, but as of today, OL a must at 56
1st......
24. DALLAS COWBOYS: EDGE BOYE MAFE, MINNESOTA
Mafe made himself some serious cheddar in the pre-draft process. He had the highest pass-rushing grade of anyone in the week of Senior Bowl practices then put together an outstanding combine performance for a 260-pounder. With Randy Gregory walking, the need is there in a big way
2nd.....
56. DALLAS COWBOYS: DI LOGAN HALL, HOUSTON
3rd....
88. DALLAS COWBOYS: LB CHANNING TINDALL, GEORGIA
That is coming from a hometown paper pumping up their prospects. I see him in a few big boards in that 40-50 range. We will agree to disagree.Good news:
Boye Mafe Pumps His Draft Stock to Moon at Senior Bowl
EDGE, Boye Mafe, and OT, Daniel Faalele, were the two Minnesota Gopher football players who took part in the Reese’s Senior Bowl on Saturday afternoon. But it was Mafe who stole the show and, arguably, pumped his draft stock the most out of all participants. When the dust settled, he had 2 sacks, a forced fumble, 3 tackles for loss and was named the Senior Bowl National Player of the Game.

Yes and no, that is not coming from a national writer, they are pumping up their local prospects. Let's see if he gets his name called in rd 1, which you think and I don't.And now you’ll clearly move the goalposts in front of me and everyone else reading.

No. I’m not overlooking your blatant double standard.
This from NFL.com
3) Mafe adjusts. Minnesota edge rusher Boye Mafe was named the National squad's player of the game, and was all but unblockable during the practice week as well. He revealed after the game that there was a tough adjustment involved: A stand-up rusher at Minnesota, he was asked to play with his hand on the ground in Mobile. And it's not as though he had much notice.
"I honestly hadn't been training with my hand on the ground. I got a call maybe five days before we showed up here and they said 'We want you to try putting your hand on the ground,'" Mafe said. "So I did it a few times in a workout beforehand, then I said 'OK, I'll come here and do it.'"
It worked out just fine, as Mafe logged a pair of sacks, another tackle for loss, and a forced fumble on Saturday.
"I was open ears when I got here ... I wanted to learn, to play my best ball," he said. "You've got to adapt to different defenses."
Just like Ware. Where you tried to say there was a difference.
Your blatant bias is exposed here.
