Keep in mind, that he will be in the last year of his rookie deal after this season, which means this time next year we can offer him his first big $$$$$ deal. I'm guessing it'll take a min $20M+ to get signed early.

Same with Ceedee Lamb, except he has a 5th year option. The benefit to giving players extensions after their 3rd year as opposed to waiting, is that you still have that low paid 4th year left to allocate signing bonus money to.
But I'm not even sure what they'll do with Lamb.
