PFF's highest graded QBs from week 1

They were ready to play energy wise. Wonder if we see as many drops if starters had some preseason work. It wasn’t just Lamb dropping passes

That is what PFF eating does. If you make a throw and it is dropped, you get the credit for the throw just the same as if it had been caught. It is the most accurate assessment of a players performance there is taking every single play into account. Dak looked elite in the game and he was. Better than Hurts, better than Allen, better than Rodgers...
I definitely think all the Allen slobberers are looking at the numbers instead of the games.

Allen was given so many more chances to put up great numbers due to the Ravens doing dumb things and coughing the ball up....ended up giving him several more chances when the game should've been over 3 possessions ago.

But his 3 extra possessions gifted to him says all....the Eagles didn't give any free possessions away.

Remember when Romo had incredible games? Highly rated.

They lost.

Actually... Dak is good enough. So was Romo. So, why do they lose if the QB's are good enough?

Hum...Jerry? You're the GM... please respond with your clear assessment and action plan... oh... wait...

The only problem I have with PFF is they simply have no way of knowing what a player's assignment was on a given play so I think they get a lot wrong on that count especially with line play and secondary play. Yes they can judge if a guy made a tackle.. but they cannot judge if a guy who didn't make the tackle did his job by occupying the blocker(s) so the other guy would make the tackle. Or if a DB is out of position to make a play on the ball because he did not execute his assignment or if his assignment called for him to go to another part of the field. Unless PFF has the all-22 and the coaches' playsheets (they don't) all their grades must be taken with an entire pillar of salt. It's fun stuff to kick around but you just can't take it seriously.

Yeah this was one instance that was wasted in where Dak was actually the best player on the offense.

Sadly a young Dak would have matched the legwork that Hurts provided. That leg work provided the win for Philly.

Maybe but would a young Dak have had the accuracy and confidence to lay those dimes in on CeeDee? I don't think so.. so to me it balances out. Dak is a much better passer now than he was 7-8 years ago but not nearly as good a runner. But that's the natural progression of QBs and always has been. They come into the league as athletic as they will ever be and they need to be because they don't see the field well and have to take off a lot. Over time they begin to see the field better and read defenses better as well as throw the ball better so they take off less. Remember the Cowboys became the best offense in the league AFTER Dak stopped running..

Dak legs didn’t hurt them though. His arm got very first down they needed…just wasn’t enough.
