Roy, I am going to disagree on a particular point. Remember the 90s. At our peak we scored a ton of points on our first possession. That forces teams to try and match. Then we had a high point total on our second possession which placed more pressure on our opponent. That allows our defense to focus on pass rush instead of the run. Loved Romo, but he was a slow starter. Emmitt/Aikman were dominant in the first quarter, especially the first drive.Only in your own mind does this make any sense.
The offense doenst have to play catch up if the defense doesnt let the other team score.
Does it really matter if an offense doenst score the first few times it gets the ball if it scores 37 points the rest of the way?
The logic that some of you people come up with to justify taking Pitts is astounding.
Just say you love Pitts and he is an incredible talent and leave it at that. Just dont pretend that taking Pitts over defense is helping the defense.
