PFN Mock Draft Simulator wants us to take Pitts

Only in your own mind does this make any sense.

The offense doenst have to play catch up if the defense doesnt let the other team score.

Does it really matter if an offense doenst score the first few times it gets the ball if it scores 37 points the rest of the way?

The logic that some of you people come up with to justify taking Pitts is astounding.

Just say you love Pitts and he is an incredible talent and leave it at that. Just dont pretend that taking Pitts over defense is helping the defense.
Roy, I am going to disagree on a particular point. Remember the 90s. At our peak we scored a ton of points on our first possession. That forces teams to try and match. Then we had a high point total on our second possession which placed more pressure on our opponent. That allows our defense to focus on pass rush instead of the run. Loved Romo, but he was a slow starter. Emmitt/Aikman were dominant in the first quarter, especially the first drive.

PFN is giving Surtain to the Panthers and dropping Pitts down to 10 almost every time I use that thing (sometimes Slater, but mostly Pitts). Does that happen to anyone else? I feel like some developer is just messing with me over there.
If you put it on auto we don't draft him either
He falls because of their weird positional algorithm.

The simulators are pretty bad. As you tell when someone posts their 20 player trade down spectacular where they draft 5 guys on the 50 board.

The programming probably just doesn't value TE being picked that high.

I don't agree with you much but I don't see how anyone can disagree with this. The defense needs help. I'm sure Pitts will be a great player but we need to take the best defensive player available with our pick.

No team changes a game plan after the first drive score. That being said, we are going to have to be more aggressive on opening drives with the pass instead of methodically trying to establish Zeke and running him up the middle. Trying to establish Zeke has been the biggest reason for some slow starts. Run Zeke with a lead.

So you are a Garrett fan, you liked resigning Zeke and you think dak is an average qb?

Who do they have the Dolphins and Bengals taking?

Sewell goes to one of them im sure.

I don't think Carolina's coach passes on a weapon like that with his offensive background.
Matt Rhule? The former Penn State Linebacker? Never knew he had much offensive background.
Now, I could easily see him drafting Micah Parsons..

I traded down to 15 and still got Pitts. Though in my PFN use, Pitts is usually not there.

It's crazy to think Ja Rhule's brother is now the head coach of the New York Giants.

The Bengals drafted a tackle 2-yrs ago and signed Riley Reiff for $8M to be the starting LT. If they are drafting a lineman will be in the 2nd round.
