I loved Dez, but his antics were a distraction.

TO was great . . . at receiving. But he was a nutcase.

Don't need any of that kind of BS on this team. It (the team) already has a huge number of hurdles to clear.

I just want ball players AND playmakers. In the same guy ! KISS !

Yeah, I am an old guy. Just don't want any ********* receivers or players. Play ball !

We're just hoping he doesn't get busted running an illegal grow (operation).

The same guy fined over a quarter of a million dollars, most of that by his own team, in just three years is now going to curb his asinine behavior because of money?

IDK, maybe Pickens will enjoy playing for Dallas. And work on his character issues. ..will see.

We need to start hearing more from McClay and less from Jerral Wayne and son ..

What did Dez do that was ever that bad over the course of his career?

The propaganda machine was all over him.

There is no reason Dak and CeeDee need to do all that.

You’re advocating going above and beyond to baby a player when babying players is already a huge problem in Dallas.
 
We all know he's got some maturity/diva issues that he needs to work through. I say we just wait and see how it goes this season and then decide what to do with him. .
 
We have one of the best WR duos in the NFL. And possibly could be the best.

If Pickens were still on the Steelers, with Metcalf and Pickens, they would haven of the best WR duos. And fans would be saying, wow, Steelers will be great, why can't Jerry do that that.

Now that Jerry did do that, fans say he will be a big problem.
So George gets a bit passionate on the sidelines (Michael Irvin anyone?) to fire up the team and fans and media will say, see ya, told you so. I bet some can't wait to say it. (Stephen A. Smith possibly).

If that what his sideline antic seems to be and not frustrated over targets. I don't think it will come to that.
Because having this WR duo, who do you cover, can't stack the box as often, so it can open up the run game. The run game gets going, try to stop it, it opens up the WR's. Double cover one, throw to the other. Each will get their chances.
Try to cover both, a TE will be open, or a RB out of the backfield.
Is this the offense, that can actually run a screen pass because of that?

I can't blame Pickens in Pittsburgh given what they ran out there for QB's for him. And he still got over 1,000 yards.
Maybe needs to mature a little more. I think all will be fine. Yes, expect some flare ups, didn't CeeDee have a few last year?
 
Some of you guys just never are happy I don't get it I don't care what he did at Pittsburgh or didn't do I didn't even read about it I don't care about his fines I don't care about his attitude,

all I care about him making the Dallas Cowboys better....

You do realize our choices were a bunch of close to washed up players???

yes, deebo Samuels ,Michael Gallup, Brandon Cooks, Amari Cooper, Keenan Allen, just to name a few or you got guys coming off injuries like overpaid Cooper kupp, high risk injury prone diggs, Who by the way if you listen to rumors digs has his own baggage Also people keep forgetting and I keep bringing it up that Tolbert's numbers last year were pretty close to all those guys above or better I realized they could have a bounce back year because of name on the back of their jersey but these were our choices...

In my opinion the Cowboys got us the best available wide receiver that a team was willing to let go for a very fair compensation.. This was the very best option for Dallas for a wide receiver opposite of Lamb and Lamb seems pretty excited about it Prescott seems pretty excited about it you know what that does makes me pretty excited about it....

, I mean these are the choices, i'd rather have a guy still about to hit his peak or his prime, young, hungry playing for his contract, and I don't care what happens after this year that's all that matters is does he make the Dallas Cowboys better this season and the answer would be an exhausting, yes...

All these guys you guys are mentioning above like OH my God, Dez was a distraction TO was a distraction Antonio Brown was in a distraction a lot of these guys are distractions are going to the Hall of Fame we know of people who were accused of possibly murder and drug dealing drug using all kinds of weird stuff or everything under the sun and yet they help their teams win Super Bowls some of them were on our very team remember the White House incident you remember that movie about North Dallas 40, right ,they didn't have a lot of social media back then so everyone can blow up and talk trash about players trying to be perfect... These were not choir boys during the 70s 80s or 90s many teams had their less than great character players.

The one thing I do know is that BS talked about this in detail that he's hoping to change the culture by getting players who have character and whatnot and I believe they probably did their due diligence and they took about three weeks cause all this smoke started around the draft and they took a long time to decide and they decided and they got a good deal for this guy, it's not like they traded a 1st rounder and now everything hinges on him staying on the straight and narrow..​

I don't care what some of you said, I would take two TOS, and two Dez Bryant's, and one Antonio Brown and make them my entire offense...Hell I'd line up Bell right behind them and go find me all these other guys that are in the Hall of Fame or they're all pros that you guys had a problem with character wise or you felt they were a distraction and I would put them all on my team if it meant winning a Super Bowl, that is what this is all about...

I get it it's a risk but they made it less of a risk a 3rd round and a 5th rounder for a 6th rounder in a player with a lot of upside... the worst thing we get is a great year from him and we end up making a trade that at least gets us our 3rd rounder back and it's even or we get a comp pick for him it's not a risk at all and people are just a little bit too involved on worrying about if he's going to stay well behaved and you guys eyes...lmao
