He wanted to win badly but had Jason Garrett as a head coach.

Every player should have that attitude and we would see a game along the lines of what it once was.

Aside from the one domestic assault on his mother, Dez was prone to emotional outbursts and many of them were directed at other players and coaches. He wasn't the kind of player Garret wanted in the locker room at the end bc his talent no longer matched the grief he caused. His career basically ended when we cut him, bc he sucked. And then like a deranged jilted lover, Dez continued to stalk the team for years on social media trying to latch back on. He's not a sane person.

We have one of the best WR duos in the NFL. And possibly could be the best.

If Pickens were still on the Steelers, with Metcalf and Pickens, they would haven of the best WR duos. And fans would be saying, wow, Steelers will be great, why can't Jerry do that that.

Now that Jerry did do that, fans say he will be a big problem.
So George gets a bit passionate on the sidelines (Michael Irvin anyone?) to fire up the team and fans and media will say, see ya, told you so. I bet some can't wait to say it. (Stephen A. Smith possibly).

If that what his sideline antic seems to be and not frustrated over targets. I don't think it will come to that.
Because having this WR duo, who do you cover, can't stack the box as often, so it can open up the run game. The run game gets going, ty to stop it, it opens up the WR's. Double cover one, throw to the other. Each will get their chances.
Try to cover both, a TE will be open, or a RB out of the backfield.
Is this the offense, that can actually run a screen pass because of that?

I can't blame Pickens in Pittsburgh given what they ran out there for QB's for him. And he still got over 1,000 yards.
Maybe needs to mature a little more. I think all will be fine. Yes, expect some flare ups, didn't CeeDee have a few last year?

Tantrums it is. We saw that from CD, Parsons, Dez...etc. Football is not governed by maturity, but rather immaturity.

Gotta give props to Dak. The guy keeps his cool through thick n thin. Not once has he gone on media rant.

My biggest concern with Pickens is the teams ability to retain him long term if he is a big part of a vastly improved offense.

They didn’t do enough on defense for this to be an “all-in” year so they’ve gotta figure out how to keep him longer term, which could be tough…especially if he puts up the production he is capable of and behaves himself.

Might end up losing Bland, Smith and some others as a result. They’ll be able to afford to tag him with Micah’s low cap hit for 26, but not sure how Pickens will react to that one.

Think about it. It would help all 3 of them out, plus make Pickens' family and hometown very happy. It would build trust for Pickens and show he is welcomed to being a key piece of the Dallas Cowboys.

We don't know the whole story. But Romo was obviously annoyed by Dez at times and saw him as a distraction. That was easy to see in their sideline interactions.

The #1 reason I'm not worried about his behavior. He's playing for a new deal and knows it.

Turner, Sanborn, Fowler, Ezeiruaku, Revel, Murray, Toia, Akingbesote,.

And they're still likely not finished adding players. The defense will be better this year.

Yes it was. I won't argue with that. Romo definitely got scammed that year. How many QBs and WRs made similar plays that counted.

The whole football move was a loophole because nobody knows what a football move is. I mean, he caught the ball and maintained possession. That's a football move to me. But I won't rehash that silly debate.

I think people forget sometimes how young these players playing on their rookie contracts are.

It's a huge adjustment for many people to adapt to fame and fortune at a young age, especially if they did not grow up wealthy. This is even more amplified in today's constant and instant social and traditional media making them daily celebrities.

Their lifestyles and popularity along with the pressure to capitalize on their fame and success immediately adds to it especially because it could all end at any time due to injury or the wrong situation.

That's why I tend to have more patience as a fan in 25-and-under players who let their emotions get the best of them on the field than I do off-the-field. Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy when it happens with players on my team, but I still don't write them off because of it. After their rookie contract though is another story.

The unfortunate downside of professional sports is that it's often made for young people who will not truly understand or appreciate it until they are much older and no longer able to play.

I think they have definitely added depth that’s been missing for some time, especially at LB, but I don’t know that the starters are good enough…specifically at DT and possibly safety. They are fine on the edge with both starters and depth, and I don’t think corner is as much of an issue as many around here….but they are once again designed to play with a lead.

Sure if some guys step up and they get production out of some unexpected spots (yes you Mazi) they could surprise, no doubt, but that DT room isn’t impressive, and one big contract doesn’t change that in my mind.

Maybe they aren’t finished adding players, but it won’t be a needle mover. That has to happen in March. They don’t operate that way.

Nothing wrong with feeling positive. This is not an awful team (if the QB is healthy), but the way I look at things is….I want to be either good enough to contend for a championship, or be building toward that. It just feels as if we are yet again somewhere in the middle.
