PFT: 49ers hire Martz as OC

Smith couldn't stay healthy this year. He is going to get pummeled in a Martz "don't protect the QB" system.

Yeah... instead of putting the bullseyes on the WR for the QB to throw it to... Martz puts the bullseye on his QB for defenders to hit.

Well.. wont have to worry about confronting a 49ers dynasty anytime soon.

IMO, one of the biggest problems with Marz is that he just didn't "evolve" as an OC and adjust his game.

Pardon the expression, but he's like an old dog using the same old tricks.
