BILLS ANNOUNCE THAT OWENS GETS 81, HARDY GETS 84
Posted by Mike Florio on March 12, 2009, 7:41 p.m. EDT
With new Bills receiver Terrell Owens recently proclaiming that he’ll be wearing jersey number 81 in Buffalo and the team selling jerseys based on that presumption, the franchise has formalized the move, announcing that Owens will indeed wear 81 — and that second-year receiver James Hardy will switch to 84.

On Wednesday, Owens said that it would be an issue for the Bills and Hardy to resolve, which is contrary to the standard practice of having the new player and the old player work something out among themselves.

It’s unknown whether and to what extent the Bills obtained advance clearance from Hardy before reassigning number 81. Owens said that, when he arrived in Buffalo on Saturday, a jersey bearing his name and number 81 was hanging in a locker.

Hardy = pwnd

What would y'all give up for him? a 2nd is way to much..our 3rd is a high pick so I wouldn't do that either..possibly multiple picks like a 4th and 5th?

Roscoe Parrish reminds me of ex Cowboys slot Kevin Wiliams.

? Why do you say that?? If someone is leaving it's going to be Crayton. Parrish is an upgrade over Crayton in the slot.
Crayton is staying. No more cap hits and it means you would completely turn over your starting wideouts. Plus Garrett won't know how to use him.:rolleyes:

His hit wouldn't be that bad..plus you can get the mouth off the team. Kill two birds with one stone.

I'm really intriqued with acquiring Roscoe, but I just wonder what would it take to get him to Big D?

I would try to get him just for his punt return ability, tired of watching fair catch crayton.

How About with that glut of WR's in Buffalo, we try to acquire Hardy?, I'm pretty sure that Jerry liked him in last years draft and wanted to trade up for him, but was talked out of it.

I realize Parrish is blazing fast. But is he only blazing fast in a straight line -- like on go routes -- or is he a guy that has quickness in tight spaces a la a Terry Glenn type?

That's the kind of receiver I think we've really been missing. That Welker, Glenn type of guy.

And why would he be talked back into it? Hardy's proven nothing except for the scouts being right about him.

Roscoe and Felix on the same field:eek:

Like everyone else, I love Parrish's quickness. We really don't have a guy like him right now.

But why do they want to get rid of him?
