I haven't seen anyone say "his whole career". His best years/games are when he can rely on a solid run game. KM didn;t want that. He wanted Dak the super QB...and he just isn;t that.

Hopefully we fix the o line, the run scheme and fresh RB's that we are actually going to use right.
Agree with that! The “whole career” thing comes from the logical fallacy of people saying that Dak’s lack of accuracy was the cause of the picks.

They weren’t dissecting them during the season?

I though the reason for the INTs is no longer here, because he left to SD. Why the need to dissect?

Also, shouldn’t they be dissecting why all the WRs ran the wrong routes, as the INTs were clearly not Dak’s fault?

LOL.. Linehan was blamed for being too conservative and the previous scapegoat. He was called out for limited Dak on throwing deep. Then they proclaimed it no longer Zeke’s team, when Moore came in and was more aggressive than Linehan, like everybody wanted.

Doesn't take a genius to figure it out....two things. His scatter arm which throws buck shots, and he stares down his receiver. Both allow DBs to make plays on the ball. This is his 8th freaking year.....FIX IT......
Thank you…. “Stares down his receiver” is obvious to anybody that just looks at him from pre-snap onwards…. And his scatter arm, multiple pump technique arm gets him into trouble as well

Comical.. apparently it’s not Dak’s fault for an InT caused by a DL hitting his arm, when the reason the DL hit Dak’s arm is because Dak’s poor pocket presence caused him to run right into the DL allowing the latter to hit his arm and cause an INT..

Throwing late and behind a WR is obviously not Dak’s fault either, because it “hit him in the hands”…

And so on…

I would think this is standard, and that they do it during the season too, but with cowboys who knows.

2016 is NOT HAPPENING again. Defenses figured out they could sit on Beasley’s out routes. So Dak looked like a deer in the headlights in 2017.

But our OL was that dominant so Linehan could still go back to running the ball with Zeke over 20 times a game. When he was suspended, Dak was complete garbage.

Now that’s no longer the case. If we go back to a 2016 offense, which was also dumbed down by Linehan to rely on heavy play action to the tune of around top 3 in the league which was unprecedented for Dallas, meaning defenses were facing something new from them, this offense would be one of the worst in the leagues as our OL and RG is definitely not like 2016.

There is called PEAKING as a QB.

QBs can limit OCs..

If you actually break down the plays without any bias affecting your view, it is clear as day that there are two main problems that directly lead to an increase in interceptions and a full overhaul of the offensive staff as a result.

A. Option Routes..............these were used extensively in Kellen's offense and these type of routes require both the QB and the WR to both read the defense the same way.
B. Pre snap to post snap coverages..........teams started doing this extensively last season. They would show one look pre snap and then switch to another look post snap.

Both of these issues lead to a significant increase in interceptions for Dak. For example, teams would show man coverage pre snap and then convert to zone coverage post snap and this really played havoc with the option routes as many times the change in coverage was not read correctly by the receivers and Dak. Green Bay specifically used a mix of showing man coverage pre snap and then running a hybrid of man underneath and zone deep and then totally switching and running zone underneath and man deep.

Both of Dak's picks against Green Bay were due to changes in coverages pre snap to post snap screwing up the Cowboy's option routes. It was very creative and clever how the Packers disguised their coverages pre snap to post snap to confuse the Cowboys offense.

This is where the offensive changes are coming this season. Big Mike's version of the WCO uses very little option routes and the route tree progressions dictate where the ball goes, not the coverage the defense is showing. This is very different from Kellen Moore's offense and why he was not kept on for these changes.

Dear lad, I disagree.

Deek's worst fault is overconfidence.
He throws in TINY openings. And 3 yards behind.
Deek thinks he is waaaay better than what he is.

why does he need more protection but it was good enough for Rush? why does dak need more playmakers, but they were fine for Rush?

what's the difference between winning nothing with dak and winning nothing without dak?

The problem I have is it appears he either couldn't or didn't wanna fix it at times. I mean QBs most times can pinpoint what happened on an interception and correct it but it was odd game after game, not one but 2.

It was exactly what I came to expect, when his wrs couldn't create separation.

Dak needs to call Romo and ask him for advice on a full offseason of training for such a sheer volume of turnovers. lol
Funny, I thought this thread was about Dak and not Romo....but I guess some feel the need to deflect in an effort to defend Dak at all costs.

This is true but It appears the were/are times Dak runs/ran plays he knew/knows had little chance for success based on pre-snap coverage or just a bad call from KM. Remember Sean Payton once saying Drew Brees saved his a----- from at least a half dozen bad calls per game. It's this type of leadership that was missing last season IMO. Another example is, a few years ago during one of his pressers, he was saying how Coop was frustrated on the field with a couple of plays Kellen called that they knew wouldn't work. Said he calm Coop down and told him, let's run them anyway.
