So Jerry Jones treats this stadium and promotion of his brand like Romo does his golf hobby?

I'll wager that he is far more focused on his side interests with the stadium than any of us.
Wager what and how do we prove it to see who pays?

Come on man.

how do fans not understand the global introduction of the stadium and exposure generated is good for the Cowboys, not bad.

Time to take America's team global.

"I never got into the NFL or bought the Cowboys for the money. I was lucky enough to already have some," he said. "This is about having a fighter like Manny and an event like this in our venue. When we finished the deal, I was shaking as much as I was when we beat the Eagles. I'm just as excited."

-- Jerry Jones

Didnt take GM Jerry too long to get over that stinging playoff loss and move onto more important things for businessman Jerry.

I'm a huge Jerry supporter, but he deserves to be pasted for this. I hope the media crucifies him over this junk.

Thats fine and all, but most diehard fans dont care for the guy who runs the football team 2 days after a bitter playoff loss to be wiping that away like it didnt happen and jumping for joy over a b/s boxing match.

If Jerry just owned the stadium and not the team, or had a smaller role with the team, it'd be different.

Oh goodness I sure hope it doesn't actually get worse.

just imagine if we ever have another losing season. half the board would be suicidal and the other half would be laughing telling us how they knew all along how it was going to turn out.

moderation is the key. 34 wins and two divisions titles is not horrible. We have holes. We had many more holes at the beginning of last season. They are getting fixed. We will be in it next year. I just hope the scouting department does it job and hits on some winners for our O Line.

God forbid if any of the whiners find out where the majority of the players will be in the next couple of days.

it's not a BS boxing match, it's the global introduction of the greatest sporting venue on the planet.

don't get tunnel vision just because jones owns the cowboys too.

the season is over, there is likely very little work(relative) associated with the team for jerry at this point.

promotion is a good thing. And bringing money into the area with this economy is a good thing. Good on Jerry for it.

I'll tell you what is good for the Cowboys and it has nothing to do with the promotion of the stadium or the boxing matches in it.

The financial profitability of Jerry Jones interests should be secondary to the improvement of this organization as a whole, from a football perspective.

Nothing else Jerry Jones can do is more important.

I'll put it to you this way. If Jeffrey Lurie were doing this literally days after his Eagles were trounced, I doubt anyone here would be making excuses for him and talking about how "globalization" is good for that franchise. But they actually moved along and signed a special teams coach. We got a boxing match. I guess that half hour of work to secure Pasqualoni had Jones' GM duties for the week fulfilled.

I love how everyone acts like Jerry's money is their money. Jerry shouldn't do this, shouldn't do that. It gets old. If people don't like how JJ handles his business and his money don't buy the tickets and t-shirts. Very simple.

Who do you guarantee a Super bowl win with next season. I keep asking folks yet no one seem to have the mental capacity to respond. Get your magic ball out and answer the question or stop crying.

I have never read some many pointless and poorly thought out posts in a single day.

The intellectually football challenged are out in force today.

You mean Hudson Houck's OL gave up 34 points.

If you knew what you are talking about.

I'm not sure what is wrong with that scenario. I think if he talks Cowboys it takes away from the importance of the boxing event and means the reporters aren't there to cover that, but rather to get a sound bite about the Cowboys. It cheapens the other event. Either that or I am just missing the point of the rant.

No, Houck's OL kept us from scoring more than three points (nine if you want to scapegoat Suisham too).

Each unit has its level of responsibility for the loss. Yes, the defense has less of a burden, but it is a burden none the less.

Even if we were performing above a level of mediocrity on offense, we still would have had to keep the Vikings from scoring. Outside of the initial drive, they did not do enough either.
