Chaz's inability to be available isn't doing him any favors. It's only a matter of time before it catches up with him. He'd be gone already if it weren't for the fact that his playing ability when healthy is exceptional. At some point, someone else will surpass his value. In the meantime, there are scouts who will be scouring the talent pool in an attempt to find the individual to replace him. Frankly, I'm surprised he's lasted this long. He's clearly lingering on borrowed time. Not complaining here -- just stating the facts.

Should have kept Parnell instead of Free a couple of years ago...

Green has conditioning issues I think, and just is not a tough guy.

Lol! Bob Sanders was the Defensive Player of the Year at one time!! Chaz Green couldn't ever carry his jock!
I mean yeah, besides the fact that the comparison doesn't even make any sense.

Players with Green's injury history are frustrating, but the Cowboys gain nothing from moving on from him unless they have a replacement with similar skill. I mean, he either stays healthy or he gets injured again. If he stays healthy, it's a win. If he gets injured again, you're in the same position you'd be in if you release him. It's not as if they will lose a similarly skilled player by keeping him on the roster. Moving on from him doesn't create space for a better prospect at another position. And given the possibility Smith might miss a game here or there with his back issues, Green has value.

Bob Sanders was injured every year like Chaz has been.

The ONE year he was not injured late in the season the Colts won the SB because their D really balled led by Sanders.

That is the most extreme example I can think of as regards an oft injured player having an impact.

Even if Green was the best tackle in the NFL he would still not have that kind of impact.

When there is a thread talking about Chaz green being a MVP.....
