I'm glad they didn't draft him. He's just not the right one we need to go into the future. I don't think he'll be any good.

Only time will tell. If he does turn out to be all that and we are stuck in QB purgatory for 5 or 6 years we will really regret not taking him. Given Jerry Jones is in charge of this team I am worried he is going to think franchise QB's grow on trees given the insane amount of luck of finding a QB the caliber of Romo as an undrafted FA. Right now they have thrown all their eggs in the Romo basket but it looks like he is not going to be the guy he was due to his injury. I personally would feel a lot better if we had Johnny Football on the bench watching and learning. Instead we have Weeden:thumbdown:.

You guys want a fix for Tony's back? Send him out here to Washington and let him hang out Mon-Fri. He can go back on Saturday and be ready to play on Sunday. There are stores out here they y'all don't have yet. LOL

But did your buddy have the resources available that Tony has? Do your jobs require that your backs be as close to 100 % as possible? So everyday you spent afterwards focused soley on recovery? And making sure you could be the top performer at your job?
Don't mean this as an attack. But you can't compare any kind of surgery a professional athlete has to everyday joes like ourselves. They have a ton of money invested in them so they'll get the very best care possible. Doesn't mean he'll ever be the same. But I wouldn't say never, just two games in to the season.

No attack felt. I think I have an informed opinion. Brother in law is a surgeon and teaches at Vandy. He advised me against surgery since I have no real muscle loss or nerve damage.

Wife is pain management rep in LA and the doc I go to here that apparently has treated atheletes with back issues ( though he doesnt name names) also recommends against surgery unless it is last resort.

I'm not declaring Tony's career, there's always a chance for full recovery. I feel my opinion is pretty informed.

The concerns I mentioned earlier in the year have been realized much more than the " no issue, he will be 27year old Romo in no time" take

How about if he gives back a huge chunk of that 100 million he's carrying around. It's not a breast reduction, but should take a lot of weight off his shoulders (and the teams).

Time is telling so far. He can't even beat out Hoyer in Cleveland for the starting job. I don't think he'll be better than average as a starter. I want someone who will lead this team for the next 10-15 years and Manziel wouldn't be that QB and honestly I wouldn't feel any better with him as backup than Weeden right now. Both are backup QB material at best.
