Hmmm......his offense has been top 3 every year as an OC.

that reich Wilks thing is very similar to the Wade-Norv situation in 07. The best thing would have been a real head coach coming in and those two as the coordinators here...instead it was wade as hc.

How about they hire Kellen as HC and keep Wilks as assistant HC and DC.

Dak got Nussmeir fired because he couldnt stop throwing interceptions

i guess they didn’t pay attention to him coaching an unknown QB to a 4-1 record when the INT machine went down
I didn't see Nussmeir name in that article, was this from another announcement?

To me, it's real simple.........Jerry, Stephen, and MM are using this as an opportunity to reset the coaching staff. MM has 2 more years left on his contract. He was probably one, maybe two games (NFCCG and/or Super Bowl) from earning an extension.

The Cowboys whack five assistant coaches, so far

well at Least they aren't standing pat and its early..

they are anticipating bigger changes out of their control and instead of resigning these guys, they let them walk.. I am very curious to the full plan for the 2023 staff but i do like They aren't sitting on their hands.

IMHO I am hoping if they feel DQ is leaving they might lose them all anyway and hope Moore also is gone.. our Offense needs new voice, new play caller, and just a new direction. none of the coach's suck, none are bad but sometimes you have to make changes and see if you can make improvement to a playoff caliber roster with small window to do so.

I am ok with all these coaches gone.
Well not so sure about Edwards.

Lett, been here a long time, he was demoted from DT coach to assistant, he really has not developed any DT's.
I wanted the previous RB coach gone, and thought it was a mistake to bring Pete back.
Have no idea what Davis did.
Philbin, yes, need a change at OL, he did well to hold them together, but something was never right with them even when healthy.

This is Jerry's way of shaking the tree without really shaking it. He needs to shake it hard enough for a good QB to drop out, but land on Jerry so he doesn't get injured.

It is starting to sound like Moore and Quinn will both be gone. If Jerry fired Edwards without telling Quinn first, it sounds like Quinn has no choice but to leave.

I am okay with both Moore and Quinn leaving if they get offers from other teams. It happens and the Cowboys will deal with it. But they were so close this year and these disruptions can set a team back so Jerry needs to be careful of that.

Glad to see Philbin gone.

He wanted Moore's job.

But in the end, the jacked up blocking scheme got him.

Cleaning house at the bottom...and that's where they will stop. I guess we're supposed to act shocked and consider this a new no-nonsense approach from Jerry?

The exact guy I was thinking about .........some said he's a running game expert. Kinda the Bill Callahan of running game. For all you posters craving a return of Callahan, this is your guy craving. Let him bring his own OLine coach.

Remember the 49ers under Harbaugh, run first team, that played great defense to support them.

Yep ........Romo and Dak's best career seasons were in 2014 & 2016. Both seasons had what in common? Just so many good things with a strong running game.
