Not possible to be an indictment on Dak. 100% GM Jethro.Totally agree. That wasn't the discussion, but agree

Again, IF the team doesn't restructure Dak this year (IMO they absolutely will) it would be a huge indictment on how they see Dak as the future QB of the franchise. I literally can't imagine anyone could see it any differently. I mean if they choose after less than 6 months into the largest contract ever given to an NFL player to take a $90M cap hit for the sole purpose of whittling down his dead money instead of restructuring it, even though they have always restructured him in the past and it will severely hurt our ability to operate, I can't see how a person could take it any other wayNot possible to be an indictment on Dak. 100% GM Jethro.
I don't see it that way. Either way it is getting paid. 96.25% of the $240M was guaranteed. When and how they chose to allocate it, is pretty irrelevant at this point.Again, IF the team doesn't restructure Dak this year (IMO they absolutely will) it would be a huge indictment on how they see Dak as the future QB of the franchise. Pay the man, don't play with his contract and end up with this bum any longer than we have to. I personally hope the Boys tank big time in 2025 and win the Manning sweepstakes in 2026!Dak Prescott has 2025 cap number of nearly $90 million
With the Cowboys a season away from seeing quarterback Dak Prescott hit the open market, they blinked. As the 2025 league year approaches, they might be dry heaving.
Prescott’s latest contract comes with a cap number of $89.896 million in 2025.

Tape a salt tablet on and keep up the work. The talent levels will still be strong. They don’t have a team capable of competeing for a Super Bowl this year. Hell they will more than likely finish 3rd in their one division. Eat the money this year with Dak so they can move on sooner rather than later. This team should be in rebuild mode now. Stop making moves that keep you 500. Rip the band aid off.

Have to remember, Jerry is comfortable hanging out at the rim.Tape a salt tablet on and keep up the work. The talent levels will still be strong.
Count me in on this as well.Pay the man, don't play with his contract and end up with this bum any longer than we have to. I personally hope the Boys tank big time in 2025 and win the Manning sweepstakes in 2026!
That's not necessarily true and if they don't restructure him this year (again I think that is unlikely) we are headed for one of these scenarios probably not kicking in.I don't see it that way. If they draft a QB in the first 3 rounds, that would be more of an indictment in my opinion. Plus GM Jethro does not like admitting to mistakes.
