Steve, I’m not sure that he drew a definitive conclusion, but when you look at the UPGRADE in the skill set of a quarterback like Herbert , conventional wisdom tells you that the success rate of the Chargers goes up exponentially….however the rest of the Chargers team has to be considered in terms of a playoff run
That's fine. I think a lot of peopel feel his new team in general...will be an upgrade for him. Everything from big spotlight/media, owner/execs/...to yes QB.

It shouldn't be a big surprise should that happen (or the opposite of that happening, utter failure?). And i am SURE...the handful of Usual Suspects...will make it LOOK like the board imploded.

Wouldn’t Dak being successful be what’s best for the Dallas Cowboys, or are you just more interested in being proven ‘right’ ?
Dak doesn't have the skills and abilities to lead this team anywhere. I don't believe the 8th years a charm.

Dak being horrible will force the Cowboys to make a move.

It's not about being right anymore. Dak's already proved me right over and over again. I'm over being right about Dak. I want the Cowboys to successful and that will never happen with Dak.

Prepare for “Dumbed Down Offense”, 2.0
I almost added...can he learn a new offense....

But he can. And it may not be all the different from what is there. Same terminology some different route trees. I think he can, at least it will be interesting to see.

I have always said, sometimes you have to pay attention to not what's being said but what's not being said.

Dak Prescott on Kellen Moore departure: I’m upset, but I’m happy for him

Posted by Josh Alper on February 10, 2023, 9:10 AM EST

The Cowboys made a major offensive change after they were eliminated from the playoffs when they parted ways with offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and set head coach Mike McCarthy up to call the team’s plays during the 2023 season.

Many players will be impacted by that change and quarterback Dak Prescott will be at the very top of that list. Prescott briefly weighed in on Moore’s departure while making appearances at the Super Bowl in Arizona on Thursday.

“I’m upset, but I’m happy for him,” Prescott said, via Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News.

Prescott’s happy for Moore because he is now the offensive coordinator of the Chargers and he’ll have to get over his other feelings ahead of next season in order for the team to put forth their best bid to advance past the divisional round for the first time since Prescott came to Dallas.
Of course he is upset as now the blame will fall squarely on Dak's shoulders.

Tbh it’s a good thing he’s upset. Growth typically comes from being uncomfortable. Dak’s play indirectly led to kellen being gone - wrong or right. A new found focus may help him in the long term.

Kellen at first was propelled up by being attached to the cowboys. His offensive numbers and ability to coach offense got him interviews and head coaching opportunities. After 4 years however even if he had unbelievable stats on paper he suffered by falling short in the post season. Anything less than the NFCCG was a failure.

If he goes to LA and just wins a playoff round he’ll be looked at even more favorably. Way less pressure to produce there. He’ll put up numbers and have lots of success stats wise. Letting him go wasn’t about the numbers, it was about new voices and moving in a different direction.

Prescot knows he's the reason Moore isn't here anymore, his lousy play played right into this move. Had the Cowboys made the smarter move, then they'd be looking for a new QB today, but they didn't and now it's on to MM to see if he can get Dakota "WENTZ 2.0" Prescot's head out of his ***!

As long as this Dallas Cowboys front office insists on remaining blissfully blind to their incompetence, this team will suffer. I don't doubt that they'll go through a host of OCs, HCs and assistants before they finally decide to quit blaming other staff members for their own failings. It's a good thing for them that the history of this team attracts such a faithful base of fans. At some point, better management must come into play. Here's hoping they'll come to grips with that fact, before the entire sports world and their fans aren't nearly as kind to them.

Ya know....i dont know enough to say exactly....but i do know one thing...after dak poops the bed, he goes to the sideline with a "i have my head up my ***" look.
Maddening. I want to see him in the cans, on the Surface, clipboards....the whole 9 yards.

Now I'm definitely questioning Dak's mental state. Why would he be upset losing the dumbest offensive coordinator in the league??? He held the whole damn offense back from being successful with horrible in-game instincts.

Chargers are still the Chargers, the term "Chargering" is around for a reason. They will look good maybe even great, but there will be a Chargering.......

Just do all you can to try to build the rest of the team, find a bus driver along the way, and when the time is right, make the switch.

I have zero doubt that Jerry and kid don’t see it that way. They see Prescott as elite and figure he will play into his 40s and will keep extending him over and over.

He’s always been by his side since he started. Time for him to be uncomfortable!
exactly time to grow learn new offense, get new voice in your ear. the entire offense needs this ie OL, RBs, wrs,tes etc etc.
