I have always said, sometimes you have to pay attention to not what's being said but what's not being said.

Dak Prescott on Kellen Moore departure: I’m upset, but I’m happy for him

Posted by Josh Alper on February 10, 2023, 9:10 AM EST

The Cowboys made a major offensive change after they were eliminated from the playoffs when they parted ways with offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and set head coach Mike McCarthy up to call the team’s plays during the 2023 season.

Many players will be impacted by that change and quarterback Dak Prescott will be at the very top of that list. Prescott briefly weighed in on Moore’s departure while making appearances at the Super Bowl in Arizona on Thursday.

“I’m upset, but I’m happy for him,” Prescott said, via Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News.

Prescott’s happy for Moore because he is now the offensive coordinator of the Chargers and he’ll have to get over his other feelings ahead of next season in order for the team to put forth their best bid to advance past the divisional round for the first time since Prescott came to Dallas.

Should of played better.

Does this mean he isn't happy with the new direction of the offense? I mean long does it take to say you are excited about the opportunities in a new offense? Of course, unless you are not...........this is why I said a few days ago, there are dynamics to these changes behind the scene than we know IMO.
I asked the question....what happens if Dak struggles in this offense through mid-season. Would MM dare bench him........
I fully expect, NO I fully guarantee that Dak at some point during the 2023 season will be benched for egg-laying once again.
Book it!!!!

Yeah, the great Dak Prsescott is just
unlucky

The guy matched the most picks by any QB in the season while playing 5 less games and he’s not to blame, just unlucky

 :muttley:
I'd rather take Aikmans take on dak, and called his yr a bad one but very uncharacteristic because dak throughout his career hadn't turned the ball over much. Than a bunch of posters on a forum.

That would be too good to be true. That would only mean we might get a chance to get past the chains of failure he puts us in. No, Dak will continue to play just good enough to keep his job just like Romo did all those years. The Jones boy's loyalty to their decisions at QB will continue to curse us.

For any Cowboys fan to use a picture of Dak (to mock him) when he was in tears when he suffered a gruesome injury to his lower leg where his foot was turned sideways at 90° and also had a compound fracture to his lower leg where the bone was sticking out of the skin is inexcusable not only as a fan but as a human being, unless you have absolutely no respect and are seriously lacking in morals.

Freedom of speech isn't free of accountability.
You are right. After 7 years of all the stories Prescott rode to do nothing else but try to earn more money i have lost all respect for the guy. And that is a very big achievement for him, because its not easy for someone to lose all of my respect.

And you are right again. Freedom of speech is not without borders. But that is more of an european approach and not really american mentallity. You are more of the fundamentalistic type. Which is also proven by the way you react to my post.

Seriously you should pull the cork out of your butt. That helps losen up and clears the view.

Go put your life on the line...or go fight for our country. Go earn your right to free speech instead of carrying it on the backs and lives of others, tough guy.

So in the game of Anyone But Dak....one of the complaints was Moore as OC (understandable if he couldnt get the best out of his QB), now if we continue coming up short when it matters it'll be because Dak lost Moore and it upset him.....how many excuses can one individual have?

Dak isn't going anywhere -- that's the latest news for any of those who favor his departure. His contract is one that the Dallas FO agreed to and they are bound to favor keeping Dak as long as they see fit to honor their contractual obligations. Casting him off at this point would only hurt the team by making their cap obligations untenable. For those who feel Dak must be removed from his role as a starter, they will only be disappointed. Let it go.

I'm not a Dak guy, but that was just a dude showing support for his friend. Nothing more.
