DAVIS WANTS BIG MONEY
Word on the NFL street is that free-agent offensive lineman Leonard "Big" Davis, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2001 draft, is looking for $23 million in guaranteed money.
We're told that the request was made during a visit by Davis to the Cowboys.
Consequently, the visit was a short one.
Hey, if the guy was that good, the Cardinals' line wouldn't have been so bad. And the Cards would have used some of their staggering cap surplus to keep him.
Next up for Davis is the Commanders. But if they weren't ready to pay Derrick Dockery, why would they pay Davis?

lol wow. i dont think even the redskisn will give him that.

If this is true, then, I would rather look for o-lineman in the draft then getting an offensive lineman that could potentially not work out for you for that kind of money.

Good Grief. This guy is either crazy or dilussional. And so is the guy that gives him this kind of money.

Find me another Kyle Kosier and re-sign Columbo.

There's a reason the Cards have a staggering cap surplus. The Bidwells are the cheapest people in the NFL.

Word is, when Ebenezer Scrooge changed his ways, the Bidwells had him whacked. The maylee continued on to the theft, and resale, of Tiny Tim's crutch.

He aint' getting 23 million form Jerry...........

now I know how the rest of the league felt the last couple of years when we were driving the prices up on people.

He originally was asking for 15 mil garunteed (still more then he is worth IMO), but with the recent o-line deals, his price has SHOT UP.

Ridiculous

eh, its not dockerys fault. he just took advantage of the offer. The bills are the ones that put the offer on the table.

dont matter...Dockery pretty much got the same amount of money that Davis is asking for and why let Dockery go but pay Davis, who is bigger but not better.

Davis will probably get his money but I doubt if it will be with the Cowboys. This is where Jerry has learned his lesson on paying for FA that dont work out. Vanderjerk is a prime example that. $23 guaranteed for a player never been to the Pro Bowl but a #2 pick? Please Davis, hitch a ride to the lake! That would be a big hit on the cap for a few years to come. He is looking for $5 million a yr and wants a six yr deal. Well thats a $30 million dollar deal with $23G and a SB of about $12 million. Hey, if you can get it then get it! Im not a hater but I am a Cowboy fan first and I rather them sign a Jordan Black and draft a Justin Blalock in the first round and another lineman in the second for competition.

He was flatout awful.. What would be the purpose of signing him? That is truely a waste of money....
