If words were actions, this guy would be an All-Pro every year.

But I hope he's 100% right, otherwise, the Cowboys will exercise their out after the 2021 season.

All talk. A $25M signing bonus usually doesn’t have a positive effect on a person’s motivation. His salary last year was just $6.1M, not counting the $5M prorated portion of his bonus.

For that the Cowboys got five sacks and a total of only 45 tackles (30 solo). Whoop Dee Doo!

Ehhh Lawrence didnt perform last season.

But he also seemed to face a lot of double teams and had terrible DT play next to him. Quinn just ran up field.

I see his numbers going up with three legit DTs (McCoy, Poe, Gallimore) next to him. Also getting Smith and Gregory back would help him as well.

He needs to go earn that contract this year. I think he will

I certainly hope so, I was disappointed in his production in terms of sacks. I have no issue of him talking about improving it and holding himself accountable. Of course action speak louder than words but I would also say he has proven his ability as a pass rusher in the past season and very capable of doing it again.

Nothing to think about. Taco just got cut. If he was good as Lawrence he wouldn't have gotten cut. We are paying for sacks but Lawrence measures up well in run defense, pressures, etc. he just needs to get more sacks or at least back to where he was at.
