The best thing about this contract is that it is only for 5 years. Dallas has him all throughout his prime and by the time this contract runs out, he will just be starting his decline. At that time, Dallas can decide if they want to re sign him and what his current value will be worth them.
The Cowboys have done a fantastic job of not running contracts past player's prime years. That is how teams get in such problems with dead money. Outstanding job by the front office.
Most huge deals like this run until the player is in their mid 30's and you are almost always paying dead money at the end... even if you no longer have the player.
