That was funny, they are grown men, if Clayton can't take the name calling (as if the guy has never wrote an article that called out or spoke badly about a player) he's in the wrong business. The guy is in the NFL hall of fame, what the hell does he have to prove to Salsbury?

There's a difference between critiquing an athlete's play on the field and taking a personal shot at a player's appearance.

I doubt John Clayton has done that.

It was stupid to do that to a friend on TV, but it damn sure was funny.

Is there? You think someone taking it upon themselves to critique what you do for a living is different than taking a personal shot?

I don't see it as a big deal. These guys are friends and have been trading insults for years on how SS was a career back up and how Clayton never played. Clayton could have just said "Yeah Sean, throw insults when you're losing the argument, as usual." (Even though Claytons argument was weak) I thought the Sponge Bob comparisons were funnier than the crypt keeper.

Thats the thing that bothers me about Salsbury...you would think he is. What a blow hard.

I must be in the minority but I like Salisbury.

edit: not the steak or anything to do with MEAT! lol

I'm with ya. I like Sean and most of what he has to say. But I think he did go a little bit overboard. Especially when he maliciously called Clayton a "clown" at the end of the segment. :D

I bet Clayton was a bit pissed.

Just another of a thousand bullying tactics used by Salisbury. It just amazes me that a guy who is a never was, treats all commentators who have never played like total losers. What does that make you, Sean?

What cracks me up is all the years that Salisbury ripped Owens for being a cancer to whatever team he has, or ever will, play on. Then, he turns around & tries to make Jeremy Shockey sound like a choir boy. The dude has no moral compass.

It means he was still a better athlete and football player than John Clayton, you, me, or the vast majority of the world.

He may not have ever been special, and I'm certainly not arguing against that, but he got further than the majority of the world does in sports.

I'm fairly certain Salisbury is an alcoholic. I've read a lot of stories on the internet about people seeing him drunk at bars. He looks like one on camera also.

Salisbury is an idiot, not too bright on the light meter...

I agree. I did a little live t.v a few years back and my co-host was once ridiculed on air by another and it was about the most uncomfortable thing in the world.
For Salisbury (whom I normally like) to go to that extreme to mock someone's appearance and call him a "clown" to end it off is pretty childish on his part.
