I actually find it insulting that they put this florio guy on the nbc broadcast with peter king.

he basically reads other cities beat writers reports reposts them on his site and then somehow has become an expert?

its crazy.

I find it hillarious that king has to sit their and listen to florio give his opinion. Most of his opinions come from kings tips or jay glazer!! lol why not just let king say it.

and yesterday before the jets bengals game, I heard florio hinting that wade would be fired by monday if Dallas lost.....and since he wrote an article friday called prepare for Dallas to Choke again....he was basically saying dallas will lose and wade will be fired by monday.

I would love to have him tell us how many times he has sat down with jerry jones or talked to him on the phone or had some sort of personal contact with him.

I would be willing to bet it is zero and asking me to believe someone is an expert who has never even talked to the people he is always taking shots at is ridiculous.

Peter King must hate that guy, he is the exact thing wrong with sports journalism....he is the poster boy. King has spent his life writing about the nfl, florio has spent a few years reposting beat writers articles and we are supposed to view them both as experts...

You should see this guy strut around like his is something, but like you say, he knows nothing.

No offense to anyone in WV, but we don't have any Pro team of any kind in any sport, .. let alone an NFL team.

I can't believe it, and think it is amazing that NBC has elevated him to the status that they have.

He is a regular guy, who is a lawyer in Clarksburg WV.

Like it was mentioned earlier the site is TMZ for profootball. He writes articles and headings in a way to get clicks. Of course with a fanbase like ours and haters he posts alot of Anti Cowboy stuff. If I were running a site based on clicks I'd do the same thing.

I remember the time that former Bears QB Craig Krenzel basically refused to go to NFL Europe and Florio claimed he was stupid and I believe quoted 'sources' that said these disparaging remarks about Krenzel and then Florio said something about Krenzel 'washing cars for a living.'

I e-mailed Florio that he may be washing Krenzel's car someday since he graduated with honors in molecular genetics. He then proceeded to curse me out to no end.

Florio is a fraud. For places like NBC and ESPN to give him any credibility, which has been proven he really doesn't have any and is a liar, says a lot.

If that's all he did then he wouldn't be an issue. Having him promote himself as a "football expert" is laughable at best and an act of fraud in the worst case.

Well, there are plenty of guys here that I would rather hear talk about football that Joe Theisman (and many other of the talking heads as well). That is just a testament to the quality of this board.

Besides, I make a habit of spewing disintellect around here. Hating on him is disrespecting my game.

While I may disagree with him a lot of the time on his football analysis, he provides a good service by collecting and clearly & efficiently posting links to stories I want to read but would otherwise spend several hours surfing 32 team sites & countless news sites to find.

If he can post stories to MSNBC's sports page, he can remove them. Most high-traffic content sites do not actually delete content, they simply remove it from display and yes, I fully believe he has that ability. However, Florio was doing this crap long before MSNBC acquired PFT.
