Keep an eye on this.....college coaches have high tolerance and patience levels. When they refuse to support one of their own players...........it's a red flag, a huge one IMO. One word now comes to mind.........uncoachable. Ain't going to lie, I would have run the card up if he had dropped to 26 but still, huge risk here for the Eagles.

I think they are pissed about his road racing that resulted in 2 deaths including a teammates. He landed in the perfect spot. Philly has a locker room that can handle him and I think he learned a lot of humility in the offseason.

Carter's a boom bust kind of guy. He can be very good, but will he mature? The fact that he didn't take his pro-day seriously raises some flags to me. It was essentially a gamble by Philly for essentially a high, 'free' pick, since they still had their original 1st rounder.

I don't blame Philly for taking him and if he was there at 26, we'd likely have grabbed him due to potential... but those red flags are there. I'm getting away from drafting 'problem players'. We saw it with Bossman Phat. The talent is there, but the off the field stuff can keep them off the field to the point where they never really develop into who they should be.

Rumor is he is on the lazy side. Talented but lazy. If true it's not gonna work in NFL. You have to be hungry and love the game

Is he a Cowboy? If not, you're in the wrong zone!

Carter wins when he beats his guy with speed and quickness. If the OL gets his hands on Carter… he’s pretty much done. He doesn’t do well with strength.

He is quick for his size though. When he does win, it makes for a good highlight.

Todd McShay said that 7 NFL teams told him that Carter wouldn’t listen to his coaches, talked back to his coaches, free lanced instead of doing what the scheme called for, and was a bad practice player:

I don’t know how he will do… but there is significant risk involved there.
The talent is undeniable. He also went through a life altering off-season. He's coming in hungry and appreciative. He cried the whole way to the podium even though he went 9 spots lower than he should have gone. UGA coaches can say what they want, but he showed up on game day.

Between the racing incident and being out of shape for testing it’s apparent the kid has some massive immaturity issues. Going to be interesting how he handles pro level players the first time he gets hit in the mouth!

Apparently, several NFL teams agreed with me.

He will not be a good professional player if he continues that behavior. Paying someone a lot of money like that usually makes the situation worse.
