Todd McShay said that 7 NFL teams told him that Carter wouldn’t listen to his coaches, talked back to his coaches, free lanced instead of doing what the scheme called for, and was a bad practice player:

I don’t know how he will do… but there is significant risk involved there.
Sounds like he thrives in douchebaggery… should fit right in with Philly

Carter was so upset that teams were doubting him that he showed up to his pro day over weight and out of shape. So much so that he couldn’t finish his workout.

Now THAT is determination to alter teams perspective. But he cried going to the podium…
Thats just silly.

Huge.......especially at DT, where you have to sometimes sacrifice stats for your teammates. I mean he may be fine for a bit, but what about when it gets closer to the new contract, knowing you need sacks?

Remember the name, Albert Haynesworth.

Risky pick for sure but this D came within 2 sacks of the record last season and had Nolan Smith fall to them. If Carter can't make in in Philly with his UGA teammates, he can't make it anywhere. If he makes it there, the risk was more than worth it and they can afford for it not to work better than any other defense.

If Carter were a Cowboy, would he be better liked by his coaches? Mary Sue dumped me so I'm telling everyone about how she snores and chews with her mouth open....at the same time.

And those coaches have the most 4-5 star players in the country on their D, they can just move onto the next guy but did they? They played the trouble maker.

If I am Kirby Smart, I am all over my coaching staff because you know who else was listening to those coaches? Recruits and their families and what do these coaches have to gain by slamming a player to potential drafters? Bad form, really bad form. Doesn't matter whether it's true or not, just really bad form and I used to like that team.

this sounds like a Randy Gregory/Jamarcus Russell guy. Sprinkled with some Albert Haynesworth. Immensely talented but a void between his ears.
