What?

Not ready to play a football game on Thursday?

They are definitely going to move it and that's not all - you have to look forward to week one and moving that game to Jacksonville because this is going to be catastrophic. 12 straight hours of 100+ winds and three feet of rain and it's going to linger for three days - that area is going to be unrecognizable.

After Katrina, perception, safety, and consequences are going to be scrutinized. Nobody is going to be thinking football - they will be wondering when their electricity will come back.

After going through Hurricane Charlie, a Cat 4 in Florida - If you live anywhere near there - stay safe - pay attention - and don't be afraid to ask for help.

Hurricane Harvey has Cowboys talking about hosting Texans game

But with Hurricane Harvey bearing down on the Gulf Coast of Texas, they might need a new site for it.

Via Todd Archer of ESPN.com, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said there have been conversations about moving the game to Dallas if NRG Stadium isn’t available or ready to host a football game.

I would like to be a fly on the wall to hear the financial decisions reached about who gets what. There is a reason the owners do not want to reduce the number of preseason games. The color of that reason is green. Go Cowboys

Free tickets!

Actually, I'm only halfway joking, wasn't that Bills game that was moved to Detroit free? And it was a real football game, not preseason trash... maybe they can charge 50 cents for tickets and split the proceeds to the David Carr Memorial Fund and the Jones Romo College Tuition fund...

Yep, it was and I remember thousands of Bills fans drove to the game.

Yeah I'm getting ready to live at work here in h town from fri-mon making double time because of Harvey. No way NRG will be able to host the game. The city will still be flooded likely.

If it is at AT&T Stadium, I still can't go even if Free.
Was planning on hitting the road to drive to see my dad in Ohio about halftime of the game.

Will record it it, as I have to record the Ohio State game too. Then watch from DVR via my IPad or laptop or phone.

Was going to wait until after the games, and may do so still. Just need to wait long enough for the traffic to clear out. On I30 going through Dallas.

Will miss quite a bit of news and cut downs and all the ramifications of pet cats getting cut, and all the posts while I am up there, as my dad does not have Internet...wait, that may be a good thing...LOL...

Right now looks as if Corpus Cristie will get more of the storm than Houton, so Houston should be ok for the game, the water should hang there that long.

The problem is that there is a good chance this storm crawls up the coast and Houston will be hit Monday and Tuesday. This is already after a few days of rain bands where flooding will certainly take place in areas.

If the track does take it up to the Houston area in a few days, there is no chance that the game is played there.

I have a house in between Galveston and Houston which I expect to be 10ft under water at some point :(

Haha. I'm actually wondering how they'd handle the ticket situation. Houstonians will want a refund, and Cowboys fans won't have any.

Winds won't be 100+ for more than the first few hours, if that. Hurricanes weaken extremely fast over land. More concerned about rain and storm surge

Jazz they are going to get crushed.

20 inches of rain is predicted. It's already declared a disaster area and hundreds of thousands of people in the surrounding areas will not have basic necessities. Plus, it's a horrible optic to try and put a football game on.
