I hope Jerry digs his heels in and doesn't move it. He followed league approved specs. I've got my popcorn ready!!!Hoofbite;2903726 said:I was wondering the same. I wonder what kind of punishments the commish can hand out.
I'd bet he could start taking draft picks.

Hypnotoad;2903676 said:Dumb argument. Weather effects the outcome of games so does stadium grass (or quicksand in the case of Heinz field). Why doesn't the league mandate closed stadium or turf?

Pipe dream. The commish is not going to arbitrarily change stadium construction rules after the fact. Please point out the physical changes to stadiums the league has ordered that resulted in lost draft picks or lost home games.
PoetTree;2903686 said:This is what I don't get. HOW is a punt hitting the board and having to re-punt it going to possibly change the outcome of the game? Utter nonsense. Never, never, never would such a practice change the outcome of a game. It might slow the game a little, here or there. But a do-over on a punt is hardly a game-decider.
I really can't believe this big a deal is being made about this...

Tobal;2903888 said:The wind swirls in the giants stadium. Why should we have to play in those conditions that are unique to that stadium?
Sammy Baugh;2903834 said:Actually the Commish can change the rule on his own, at which point the board will not be above the required height.
