Wait, I thought he and Mara controlled the NY courts? Maybe there is no limit to their reach. Which SCOTUS justices are in their pocket?

As much as it pains me to point out, the US Judiciary is severely tainted. Having confidence in the rulings of any big case is a thing of the past.

I don't want anybody to take this the wrong way, but I am practically "over this" whole Elliott thing right now.

It's time for Zeke to take his six game ban and just get it over with. The last thing any Cowboy fan wants is for this to drag on forever and then still end up losing him in 2018 instead.

I'm all for Elliott trying to clear his name, and I sincerely wish him the best. I also wish he can eventually get the six game suspension lifted. But I cannot help but think this whole situation has been a distraction to the entire team.

Anybody remember that if Zeke didn't fight the suspension to begin with, we'd only have one more game until he returns right now?

Goodell is a politician. He understands that he serves the majority. That's his game and business and he is good at it. Jerry has had is issues with the league and probably doesn't have the clout to get Goodell sacked.

I read Goodall got 'kicked out' the last CBA agreement.. they called Jones to close the deal on the LA move.

I just don't get Jerry.. he's made the league money in the billions, including introducing the whole concept of naming rights when all owners opposed it, and he accepts a bunch of nonsense related to his team..

Zeke seems disinclined to just accept it. He loses a strike going forward and is labeled an abuser for life.

NFL files in NY .00001 seconds after the Henderson rubber stamp to they can have jurisdiction in a kangaroo NY court. And yes, it's corrupt as hell up here in the northeast.

But how could they file when, albeit early, the NFLPA had already filed?

zeke thinks he is innocent
i agree it could be over but the suspension loses him money and certain protections

It is way bigger for him then just playing football. He really thinks he is innocent and I have no problem with him fighting for it.
People who say for him to just drop the case already just don't see or don't want to see the bigger picture.

Rt you are about Goddell. The one thing Jerry has going for him is he’s made the league and the ownership a LOT of money. I think that talks and the BS walks when it comes to exercising his influence. They may not like him widely but they got to respect him.

Is it that Dallas is so darned popular/notorious that this case is getting so much attention or does the NFL go after everyone this hard

yeah, that's what I thought, it is because this is dallas

And also JJ put the NFL in a bind with the stand by your flag commentary..... Read something that the league will unveil something at the owners meeting in that regard. Probably some Politically Correct weasel worded feel good for themselves policy....

Policy is and should be " Shut up and stand, hand over heart" during the national anthem. Do you social justice stuff outside of the game we in essence pay you for by TV revenues, purchases, etc.....
