with all the lies and speculation, I doubt anyone has it "right"
At the first of all this mike had a few drinks, and that usually refers to liquor not water.
Then later it was he was only drinking water.
BS..... they specifically said Mike had a water in his hand in the lobby. One can go out and have some drinks with friends and then turn to some bottled water .... something those of us in our 50s often do, as we have gotten smarter than we were in our 20s. Thats exactly what they said here.

I forget now but in the 2nd Marriot release they said he grabbed her arm.
now is it a crime ? .......no
can it get him fired from tv job ......yes
And I dont make the rules, that is just how it is when you work for big networks. better stay squeaky clean !
Where did you get he grabbed her arm? It was stated that they shook hands and he touched her elbow. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

what was this woman's motive?
false claims
So we can apply this to all women?

The exception does not become the rule.

Any person on that jury will ask themselves why would she be lying? What does she hope to gain? Fame and fortune? He's the one suing and she's not been in the spotlight once. For all we know, she may regret reporting the incident but if the witnesses are telling the truth, she was asked about it because of what they saw.

At this time, we still do not know the reason she came from behind that desk and approached him. Was that in an official capacity or was she a fan?

What about him telling the radio guys that's the reason he can't remember what happened? Is that bs?

If this goes to trial, you can bet Marriott's lawyers will know where he had been and what he'd had to drink before coming back to the hotel. And if he did not have enough to cause blackout or memory loss, the sand will drain form that bag. If he did, then he still has the problem of proving he did not say what they said he did.

Irvin is the one that opened the can of worms about drinking and that will be a strong focus of the defense in this.

And so far, there's been 0 mention of his regaining his memory. He was either too drunk because just a couple of drinks will not cause memory lapse or he is lying and using that as his excuse for not remembering.

Put yourself on that jury. He's suing them yet he cannot state his case to the fact he did not say what they're saying he said. How in the hell does that play to a jury?
